Halloween Nails from Sally Hansen

Image
**Press Samples**  Ohhh I just love Sally Hansen Halloween colors. They are like the perfect black and perfect Halloween orange. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is perfect for your Halloween party polish. It will last longer and shine brighter.   For this little skittle design, I did a creepy pumpkin stamp, a little pumpkin blood drip and some fun dots. I wanted to do something fun but still creepy! It is Halloween after all! I was also doing this midweek and wanted it to stay throughout the weekend. Perfect pick!  I have used Blacky-O before and I love it! It's my favorite black gel polish. It stays deep and dark and dries super shiny. It stayed put through bagging leaves, grocery shopping, pumpkin paining and baking. Whew, I was busy BUT at least my nails looked cute! What do you think of this fun and creepy Halloween skittle? Did you do something fun for your nails or makeup for this Halloween? Show me at @colormesocrazy on pretty much every social cha...

A Little Post Valentine's Day Love with Zoya

Image
**Press Samples** I know I'm a little late with this post but I love Valentine's Day designs so much that I did a couple extra and I don't want them to go to waste.    I chopped my poor ring finger recently so hopefully that grows back soon, too!!  I used some super cute colors and textures to create this design. I also did a fun tutorial on Snapchat for this design. If you follow me, you got to see a really quick, how to stamp tutorial (but with a different plate). I really like the way this turned out and I think the colors make it look super soft and really lovable. I haven't been about the red this year but all about the pinks and purples. I used the Pueen Love Elements 34-37 plate for this look.  Colors Used: Zoya- Sue Zoya- Nana What do you think about this design? Is is something you would wear for Valentine's Day? How about just a regular day?

RedCoatTuesday and What Are Those Liars Up To??

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Ok, so... last week we saw a lot of the same shenanigans going on with these girls. I mean, I kind of was expecting a plot line that is a little bit different than what she just put us through. I really don't want a repeat of the last A. I hope this weeks episode gets moving and gives us newer content! For this design, I did a squishy jelly sandwich with the Pueen SE03A plate. The Rica color I used IS red, it just always comes out looking more pinky than red. I probably should have thrown a little bit more of a red pigment or used a different red jelly BUT this will do.  Colors Used: Rica- Squishy Strawberry Rica- Blackout Sally Hansen- Game of Chromes

A Little Stamping Fun with my NEW Stamper

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** So, I bought a new stamper. It's a giant squishy stamper from Bundle Monster and it's pretty awesome! I've been experimenting because I've been wanting to get back into stamping pretty bad. I kind of love it. It's super squishy and super fun! It picks up really nicely and stamps down just as nicely.  I used a design from Dashica Big SdP-S sheet. I love the fun geometric designs on there. I went for a fun design. It reminds me of a super fancy chandelier. It wasn't one of my resolutions but I really am going to go hard and try a lot of stamping in 2016! Colors Used: KB Shimmer- Blush Money Rica- Blackout

A Little Christmas Leftovers from Sally Hansen

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Today, I decided to throw up some leftovers I have from my Christmas designs. I forgot to post these pre- holidays so..... you get them now :) I got this beauty from a friend in a swap and I love it! It's Sally's version of matte polish and it's got a little texture to it. I also love this cranberry color. I decided to stamp some holiday themed stamps over this polish. The candy cane plate was a little meh/ify to work with but the presents turned out super great. I think it's time to start picking up new plates since I got my new fat squishy stamper. I like this design. It's super easy, simple and festive! Colors Used: Sally Hansen- Lavish Sally Hansen- Game of Chromes Rica- Whiteout

Missing the Summer with Negative Space Luau Stamping

Image
**Nothing to Disclose** Ok since all of us on the East Coast are covered in A LOT of snow right now I'm going to go ahead and say that I am missing the warm weather. I love Pittsburgh, but I also love the sun. So I did some Luau stamping to warm my soul. I got my Rica Squishy collection a while back and I have been using them more and more because one of my resolutions this year was to practice my stamping skills more. While I have a ways to go, I think I have been improving. Experimenting is what will help me improve, so onward! Overall, I think this came out pretty well. I was going to originally go with a white base, but again experimenting... Experimenting is the name of the game. I really like the negative space and nude background. It's the whole au naturel look. Ya dig? ha Colors Used: JustRica- Squishy Grape JustRica- Squishy Lime JustRica- Squishy Plum JustRica- Squishy Blueberry JustRica- Squishy Lemon

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents Wallpaper

Image
**Press Sample** So, I have officially made it to the halfway mark of this fun wallpaper challenge for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. I have really been having fun with this one because I have been able to brush up on my stamping skills. This is something that I have had on my New Years resolution list and something that I have been wanting to do for some time. I WANT STAMPING SKILLS!! I so envy those ladies that have mad stamping skills. I think it's so hard for me to do because my itty bitty nail beds, but every once in a while I see those bloggers with the nubs that blow me away with bomb stamping designs and then I get this gusto to go stamping crazy! Anyway, I am super excited to see what I can come up with for the rest of 2 entries. I do know that I will be using my "stamping skills" or lack there of, but I do need the practice and this is the perfect time for it. Colors Used: Zoya- Prim Zoya- Spencer

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents Geometric- Holographic Style

Image
I decided to do a holographic twist on my third look of geometric style for The Nail Challenge Collaborative. I used a stamping plate that I have no idea where it even came from. Like it literally just popped up from no where. Like under my helmer. I saw it glimmering and I was like, "what is that". I pulled it out and bam!! Match made in heaven!! These were really fun to do. I love my Color Club Halos. I won them in a giveaway almost 2 years ago and every time I put them on, I melt all over again. I actually used 3 colors from the collection, but it was super hard to show them since I had ZERO lighting because of the cruddy weather we have been having. Anyway, I think for my last challenge I am going to do some negative space artwork. I have not done a negative space mani for quite some time and I think that time has come back around. I like geometric designs and simplicity and I went quite fancy for this one, so I think it's time to do super simple. Wh...

Wrapping Up Summer with Stamping Designs from Manglaze and JustRica

Image
To wrap up all this summer fun, I wanted to do a fun anchors and rope stamp design with some Manglaze and JustRica. The stamping is a little hard to see, but trust me it's there.   The stamper that I used for this was one that I got from KKCenterHk. It's a rubber stamper and I really liked using it. You can check out that original post, here . Although, it's pretty messy and you have to have a lot of space to actually stamp with it.   I really liked the overall design, in my head. Yet again, when I go to throw it out on my nails, it doesn't look like the beauty it did on my nails. That's ok!!  Since I am starting to wrap up my summer nails, I am getting super excited for my fall nails. I have just a few more summer looks and I am starting to play with my fall pretties. I am so excited for all of the fall lines and I am even more excited to play with the my new fall stamping plates. Hopefully I get some more practice between now and then. ...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents Geometric

Image
I am back after a break last month. It was tea party inspired so I am a little glad that I couldn't do it. The designs from the other ladies would have blown mine right out of the water. Each of them were beautiful!! Last month was super crazy for me, so this is a great palette cleanser for me. First up, a simple design. I wanted to do something simple because for some reason, when I think of geometric I think of 80s. When I think of 80s, I think of neons. I don't want to do neons this entire challenge, so I am starting off with a simple two tone look. Gray and black.  I used a design from the Dashica Big SdP-S. I really love this plate and I use it often. There are so many designs that I am going to be using for this challenge. I enjoy stamping and I see sooooo many ladies with all of these great creative stamping designs and then I go to do this huge stamping mantra and splat.... Anyway, I like this. It's cute and geometric and simple and fun. It does t...

Pretty Little Liars Red Coat Tuesday

Image
All I can say is MELISSA... Holy Crap! I knew it!! I knew she was shady the whole time. I still think Ali is involved with the shade, but Melissa. Wow!! This episode is titled "No One Here Can Love or Understand Me?". Back to Melissa. I hope that we get more information about Melissa and I hope that she comes clean. I doubt it. That's why it's called Pretty Little Liars.  I hope that Hannah and Caleb are also done. Caleb is starting to be a really bad influence on Hannah and now that Hannah is getting on the straight and narrow, I hope that Caleb is getting that way as well. Although, it does not look like it. According to the teasers, Caleb is finally going to spill why he's been hitting the bottle so hard and it has to do with Ravenswood.  Also, I am kind of pumped that Ezra is back in the picture. I kind of lost all trust for him after all his shennanigans, but I am hoping that I can earn it back. Apparently Aria isn't working with Ezra...

Goldie Oldie Thursday presents White Base with a CHEAT

Image
I know, I know. I skipped out on last weeks post. I just was sooo overwhelmed between being on the road for three weeks and then coming back to a huuuuge pile of work. I missed it. Don't worry! I am slowly getting back into it. For this design, I decided to do ALL Rica Polish colors! I just ordered the ENTIRE squishy collection and some more stampers. What better to stamp over a blank white canvas? I know, I know what you are thinking, "THIS IS A GOLDIE OLDIE CHALLENGE". Well, I cheated! Think of it as opposite day. I am using all NEW polishes instead of old. Sorry about it!  I used the Dashica Big SdP-S plate for the design. I love this plate, but it reminds me that I really need to invest in more!! What are some of your favorite stamping plates? Do you have a favorite company to order from? I can tell you that JustRica has some of my favorite stamping polishes!!   Next week I will continue and actually stay true to the OLDIE theme with black base. I...
