Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color..Does it Really Stay?

Image
**Sponsored by Influenster** So, I promised that I would show you this little pretty from Maybelline earlier in the week. I got this in my Influenster Cozy VoxBox.  I was able to rock this once on my lips and once on my arm. It is supposed to stay through 200 bites, 100 sips and countless kisses. It comes in 30 shades- which I would love to play with more colors because I am in 💖LOVE💖 with this lippy! It is easy to use. Apply the color first, let dry and then apply the conditioner. Simple right? Maybellline SuperStay 24 Lip Color is supposed to wear long without caking, drying, flaking or fading. As you can see, I wore it on my arm for almost a full 24 hours and it was going strong. That was through a full yard clean, a shower and even a workout session. That's pretty good!! Overall, I am happy with this lippy. I would re-buy it and use it all the time! I mean, a life without reapplication of lipstick throughout the day is a good life!!  Don't forget t...

Influenster presents Cozy VoxBox

Image
**Sponsored by Influenster** It's Fall!! Some things that make me soooo happy about this season include hoodies, hot drinks, pumpkin everything, beautiful foliage, football and just being comfy and cozy. Influenster gave me an totally awesome VoxBox to share with you that will get your in the perfect mood for the Fall! ⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼⇼ Up first, I have a favorite from my 6 year old daughter. Daisy squeezable sour cream. She looooves sour cream on everything and this is so easy for there to use. We don't have any waste and she can easy control what goes on her plate.  Pilot has the best pens! I happen to be a Pilot pen snob, so when I saw that I had this in my box, I squeed a little. The Pilot FiXion pen is a complete revamped tool. The cool thing about this is it is erasable. Like complete erasable. I giggled when I read the description that said "write fearlessly". I will, Pilot, I will. 😂 To be honest, I do not use Coun...

Red Coat Tuesday: Yup, Not Even Sure Why?!?

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Ok, here I am doing another Red Coat Tuesday, but to be honest again, I have not watched past the first episode of this season. It just doesn't have me. I am waiting for Scream Queens to come back! Maybe we will do a SQ roundup instead! For this weeks design, I did a glitter gradient and then flipped it up on my ring finger. I used a deep oxblood as my base and fun sparkly red on top. I'm planning on catching up on vacation next week so hopefully I'll come back and have some show updates for you. If it's not catching me, I'm going to have to pass! Have you watched this season at all? What am I missing? Colors Used: Maybelline- Dressed to Kill NYC New York Color- Ruby Slippers

What's In My Gym Bag: Beauty Blogger Edition

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** So, I am a gym rat and a beauty rat and sometimes these two do not mix. I go to the gym in the middle of the day and I get super sweaty so I have to shower. I like to carry a little beauty box with me in my gym bag so I can bring myself back to my normal self as much as I can after I work it out! First up, I have my shower and after shower crew. My ECRU shampoo and conditioner set was original when I started out but, now they have morphed into refills. They are currently filled with Pacifica Shampoo and Conditioner. You can check out all the details in the link above. I also rotate out my body wash from the Soap Not Radio container. It is currently filled with Sauve bodywash. I am currently using Vasanti as my face wash, which I rotate with my CeraVe face wash (not pictured because I left it in my locker). For my leave- in- conditioner, I use the 12-in-One from IT Haircare. It takes care of everything I need and leaves my hair feeling awesome. ...

Red, White and Blue Nails for Independence Day!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Here we are!! One of my favorite holidays! I love my country and I love all the things that I get to do because I live here. I have family members that fight for my freedom every day so I love this country even more for that! Of course I am going to celebrate the heck out of this day!! I did a makeup look from NYC New York Color a few days ago that I am going to rock for my 4th of July look... you can check that out here . Now, I decided you have to see what I designed to wear on my nails. I have a couple different glitters to wear, so I usually do skittle because I can never just choose one. This year, I actually did two different looks because I had so many different designs floating through my head. I did one to rock today and Friday and one to rock Saturday and Sunday. Yeah... I love my country!! For this design, I did a little glitter and a little stamping. Best of both worlds, right?? Do you have anything special on your nails for the 4...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents Superheros!!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples**Bought It** For today's post, I am ringing in a new challenge for my Nail Challenge Collaborative group. We are starting our Superheroes and Villains month and I am super pumped!! I am actually enrolling the help of my son and husband with this one because I am not as well versed as I thought.  I got this first one down pat and then I went to plan the last 3 and I was stuck. So, I had to enlist the boys and their vast knowledge of these types of things. Just like I am extremely knowledgeable of the best kinds of lipstick, they know their superheroes.  First up, can you guess who I decided to depict? If not, you need to go back further than I do! Yup, BATMAN!! This was the easiest one I could think of at the moment. Colors Used: Barielle- Lemondrops Maybelline- Onyx Rush What do you think I should do for my last 3 posts? Who are your favorite Superheroes or Villains?

Alpha Mani Does the Letter M

Image
**Nothing to Disclose** This week, well last week was the letter M for Alpha Mani. I missed it because it was sooo crazy. My husband graduated with his Masters degree and it was Mothers Day so I had family in from out of town. Not to mention I was sick all last week. I am just playing catch up and this one was just too fun to pass up. So you get 2 Alphas this week!! I only have a couple Milani polishes because for me, they have been hit or miss. I actually prefer their makeup over their nail polish. I know... maybe I am still sick. lol! I got both of these in a giant mystery box a couple of years ago and I love them both. The holo is a little sheer, but it's a builder so I love it. The glitter has bars in it and either you are a bar lover or not. I happen to love them. If you can get them all to behave, to look awesome!  For my Maybelline, I just love all of the polishes I own. They always have such great formula and such awesome colors. For being a...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents 3rd Anniversary Surprise

Image
My next look, which is number 3, was inspired by Dancing Phalanges. It is in my favorite color combination! You can see Ali's entire post here .   I love using black and white because it's such an easy base to dress up for fun. This look is so fun and geometric, too!  For my own added flair, I added a little bit of color just to make it unique. The first two looks I did, I literally recreated exactly what the original blogger had so I wanted to do something a little different. I think it turned out pretty nice. I actually like the purple flair!! I was going to add blue, but this week has been literally nothing but rain and we are getting literally nothing but more rain so I am going to avoid any kind of rain related colors hoping it will make the rain go away. lol Colors Used: Maybelline- Black Onyx Rica- Whiteout Sinful Colors- Amethyst

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents 3rd Anniversary Surprise

Image
As a little reminder about the theme for this month, we get to pick any 4 designs from the past 3 years to recreate from our fellow members. The second one I am doing, I am going to pick one from our Admin Katee from A Girl and Her Polish . I am excited about this one because not only is Katee just an AWESOME admin and a fantastic nail artist, she also happens to be a fellow Pittsburgher. You all know how much I love to support my fellow Pittsburgh people, especially my fellow Pittsburgh bloggers! So, this didn't turn out exactly like Katee's original design, but I tried! I used a black base and then did a grey saran design on top of it. I probably could have used a lighter gray or even maybe a white to do the top of the saran to make a little bit more like Katee's, but I'm digging it! Also, I did a little blobicure on top. I've been doing a lot of blobicures lately. Maybe it's time to go back to the nice and neat dots? I guess I had to do it, ...
