Kiss Nail Dress

This is the final product that I am testing for my free goodies from my 2012 Holiday VoxBox from Influenster! These are the nail dress strips from Kiss. I have tried several other brands of nail strips and I like to use them for a quick cute mani. I looooooved the color that I got. I could not find a name, but the number is KDS15. I applied them on both my toes and fingers. There are not any pictures of the toe strips because I hate feet, but I was able to use most of the leftover strip from my fingers for my toes. In the directions, they say to use the "square" side of the strip for toes. I like that and I have not seen that in the other strips I have used before. So for the application... All you do is measure, peel and stick. One thing I really like about this product is that they come about 10 strips on a clear sheet. This really helped with the measuring because I could just hold it up to my fingers to see if they line up. I have really small fingers and nails and they w

Global Green USA Green School Makeover Competition Presented by Pureology

I came across this Green School Makeover Contest from Pureology while browsing Influesnter and I thought it would be a great idea to enter my son's school. I am concerned about the health of my son, especially since he has asthma. A green, clean, healthy school is important to me and imperative to the success of my son. Being responsible with our use of the worlds resources is where I can try to do my part in helping this. I am very concerned about our resources and I do believe that exploring alternative means is important. I also find it equally important to teach our youth to do the same. I see this as a great opportunity to have my son think about improvements for his school and jog his little brain for how to help with saving our resources. Again, click here for more information regarding Pureology and their competition. So right from the Pureology Website- a little about the contest: WHY GREEN SCHOOLS? When a school goes green, children benefit—as well as the env

52 Week Challenge- Splatter

I have been wanting to try this technique for quite some time now and the week finally came. So, I was so ready for this. Got all my supplies. Went to look for a straw, and then I discovered all I had was twisty kids straws! For real?!? Well I tried it anyway and the hard plastic just sucked! Half way through, I found a infant medicine dispenser and used that. It actually worked waaaaay better. It took me a couple times to get the best "blow" to get the best splatter, but I finally perfected it on my last nail. I would like to do this again, but maybe go with a white or lighter base. Sinful Colors- Amethyst Sinful Colors- Daredevil Sinful Colors- Snow Me White L'Oreal- Jet Set to Paris Sally Hansen- Black Tie Affair This is the first straw I used- DO NOT USE!! Baby medicine dispenser- totally great back up!! Pre Clean up Pictures... I did use Vaseline to aid in quick clean up. I totally recommend that!

Let it Snow! Challenge- Snowmen!

How fitting since it just dumped a bunch of snow on us in Pittsburgh! Although I am not going outside to play snowman, it's just waaaay too cold for me. I did a similar mani earlier in this challenge and I am so glad I get to rep it again! I really like my snowman and think he's sooo cute! I didn't do the whole pipe thing either this time. Again, my nails are too small to do all these fun things. If they were just a little wider, my art would be out of this world! I decided to use Jet Set to Paris as my background, because it is my 2nd favorite blue- behind Sation- Oceania. I was going to do a funky/trippy purple snowman, but I decided to keep it traditional. I also did some experimentation with 2 different lighting settings as well in this set. A little tab of Butter London for me to step down!

So, my job is sucking the life out of me and I have to downgrade on my posting :( instead of every day, I will be posting 2-3 times a week. I am in the middle of 2 challenges, sucking-the-life-out-of-me job, 2 kids and a low buy!! But as a boo hoo present for my downgrade I am giving you my first Butter London- Scuppered! I have been NEEDING this color in my life!! First, Scuppered is probably one of the best words to use when you don't know the right word. Second only to "scragging". I use scuppered, scupper, scupped, scup, etc. frequently! Enjoy the new found vocabulary along with the beauteous color from Butter London!!

Needle Sizzle!!

Last night was my Christmas, yes I said Christmas, party for the bar I moonlight at. I wanted to go with a sassy mani and I knew for some time I wanted to retry the needle art I did during Christmas. I did! I looove these colors! Even though I say I am a dark color girl, I love Barbie colors. I got a lot of compliments and questions about how I did it! Lets hope I got some more followers from it!! I love these and I have another combo that I am going to pull out in a couple weeks! Enjoy! NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine

So you all know about my obsession with nail polish, and NYC happens to have a couple of my favorite colors- including my all time FAVORITE matte coat. I must be honest, but I really have not tried much of their other products. When Influenster sent me a complimentary Liquid Lipshine in my Holiday VoxBox I got a chance to try another one of NYCs products. I am not much of a lipstick wearer and when I do put anything on my lips, it usually a balm. I wanted to give an honest opinion of this product. I have now worn it 5 times and each of those times my husband says "Are you wearing lipstick??" So that's good, my husband notices my lips...haha I really like this product, but I kind of wish I had gotten another color. Guess what, I will be buying another color instead. I got Nude York City and it's just a little too nude for my skin tone. Despite the color clash, the product is really nice. It's not stick like usual gloss and the application wand allows for an even ap

I  really enjoyed this product- again the whole mother of 2 with a full time job and a slew of other things going on. I got it complimentary from Influensters VoxBox. I am always in search for an energy product. I HATE redbull because it tastes horrible and smells like blarf! With EBOOST, you can make a lot of recipes. Check out their Pintrest page for some recipe ideas. That's right, you can do more than just mix it in a bottle of water. The taste is way way way better than barfish Redbull or any other enery drinks, plus I did not notice a crash at all. The energy is AMAZING!! I dont get that jittery- highed up feeling either. I totally would recommend this for any moms that need that extra gas to get through the day. Check them out on the EBOOST website and EBOOST Influenster page . Below is a little blurb that Influenster has on their product page about EBOOST: EBOOST uses real ingredients, stuff you’ve heard of like Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Green Tea, Vitamin B-12 and Folic Ac

Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+

I love Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+!! I got a complimentary cup of it from Influensters VoxBox. Summer Berry is my favorite with the Apple Walnut coming in a close 2nd. I, as most of you know, am a huge coupon queen and Quaker always has coupons for their products. This makes the Medleys a great pick for me!! I am always busy and on the run being a working mother of two. I just grab a cup from my cupboard, throw it in my purse, fill with water, and enjoy. I can eat this while I am on the run to meet my clients. Check out Quaker's Website or go directly to the Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal Product Page . Enjoy like I do!!

Goody QuikStyle

So as many of you know, I joined Influenster and got my first complimentary VoxBox! In this box was a Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush. My task was to try it out and then report my findings! I love these games!! I was a little bit skeptic at first because I have very thick hair and it takes a good half hour to dry with a blow dryer. Well, I tried it as Goody promises to cut down drying times by removing as much as 30% of water from your hair. Yes! It absolutely cut down drying time. My other worry was the microfiber cloth in the bristles. I thought no way is this thing going to rip through this mop and then dry without getting moldy! Welp, surprise again! No mold and dries right back to shape!! So if you are curious and want to play this game go to GoodyHair and QuikStyle Brush and enjoy it as much as I do!!

Let it Snow! Challenge- Icicles

Keep it Simple stupid- that's my motto for now! Until I get better tools and longer nails, my detail will be limited! Well semi-limited! I really like this one a lot because I textured them to look like they were 3D. Of course, you can't see it in the pics, but they were! I really have been working hard on all of my contest entries, challenges, full time job, part time job and 2 kids. The number one question I always get is, "How in the heck do you have time to do you nails?". Well I always say, it is ME time and ME time is important. I will always make time to do my nails, even if i sacrifice some Zzzzzzs! You can never cage the beast here! I'm pretty proud of myself trucking through both challenges I am doing and the rando art challenge giveaways that I enter. I really like this group though! They are so supportive and always have great art! Fan crush on my group! Enjoy! Sally Hansen- Polar Bear Hit Polish- Aquarella

Cervical Cancer Awareness Contest

Ok so this is something that I think is very serious and I feel very strongly about. All women NEED to get a pap smear from the first time you go to the gyno. I know this is probably the last thing you want to hear about on my blog, but it will all come full circle in a moment. I came across this contest by Lena Loves Nails that has a slew of prizes from some great blogs! I thought it was a great cause and my entire polish wishlist contains every dirty/adult/ skeezy named polish out there. So this is what all it took to do a mani with an adult theme!! MEh!!!! Well I really did keep it anatomical and educational and I really am thinking about doing a dirty cartoon mani after this. Maybe a boobs one for breast cancer awareness month?!? Well I hope you enjoy. I used a slew of Polishes from Revlon, Sally Hansen, Sinful Colors and Nail Art. If you have questions about a specific one, leave me a comment and I would be more than happy to tell you exactly which color it is. So I decided to

Pretty mani!! I've really been into glitter manis a lot and this just suffices the urge! I got this e.l.f. set at Big Lots and I love all the colors. This is the only one I have not tried. I love the color mauve and I love this shade of it e.l.f.- Mod Mauve WetnWild- Bling It On!
