Happy 4th of July America!!

Image
Since I spammed you all with my designs from the last couple of days, I am going to keep this short and sweet!! This is the actual design I am wearing today. I was going to go really simple, but what is a holiday without some glitz??   For this simple design I used some glitter, stamping and some festive colors. It was super simple and looks super awesome! Colors Used: Orly- Sweet Peacock Orly- Red Carpet Colors Club- Over the Moon L.A. Girl- Celebrate OPI- Gettin' Miss Piggy With It ellagee- Festival of Lights JustRica- Whiteout YouPolish- Sexy M.F.   I did the Red Carpet as a base and the Gettin' Miss Piggy With It on top. It is a great combo and it WILL make a reappearance for #RedCoatTuesdays.  I used the Sweet Peacock under Festival of Lights. It's a very multi-holiday glitter.  I then stamped with the color Club and YouPolish on my middle two fingers. I got the YouPolish as a OOAK custom. There is nothing ...

And yet more Red, White and Blue

For this quick and easy design, I stamped a couple patriotic designs and glittered the heck out of my ring finger. I really like the USA colors of red, blue and white. I think they work really well complimenting each other and just look so sharp. Go USA!! I stamped a USA star on my index finger and topped it with Finger Paints flakie. For my middle finger, I stamped stars in both red and blue. For my ring finger, I glittered the heck out of it with LA Girl- Celebrate, large loose star glitter and the Finger Paints flakie. For my pinkie, I stamped a star burst in red and then stamped silver stars on top.  Colors Used: Orly- Star Spangled Orly- Sweet Peacock Revlon- Sequin L.A. Girl- Celebrate Rica- Whiteout Finger Paints- Twisted

For this design I wanted to do American flags and use all different mediums. Last year, I did a sugar spun flag, so I wanted to expand a little and see what other technique I could use to create a flag. I used striping tape to make a nice crisp striped design on my index finger. Next, I did my original sugar spun flag on my middle finger. For my ring finger, I did a dot design and finally for my pinkie I did a water marble.  My pinkie was IMPOSSIBLE to perfect and I wanted to back out as soon as I started. It was super difficult to get the "stars" area defined. Striping tape, sugar spun and dots were all super easy to do, but the water marbling- what was I thinking?  Anyway, what do you think of my multi-medium flag design?? Colors Used: Sinful Colors- Ruby Ruby Revlon- Royal Sinful Colors- Snow Me White

American Nails Part 1

**gifted** I have been rocking out the USA nails lately and I am excited to show you another really simple design. I recently participated in a USA/ 4th of July swap and I got a huuuuge box full of goodies!! In that box was some awesome polishes. I guess I tried to put as many as I possibly could at one time! I got 4 out of 8 so that was pretty good. I used repeating red and blue pattern and then topped the pointer and middle with the SH Red, White and Blue and the ring and pinkie with Beach Ball. Beach Ball Red, White and Blue Do you have plans for 4th of July nails?? I am planning on hopefully doing one more design to share with you. I am looking to go big!! Water marble, stamping, sparkles. BIG TIME!! Colors Used: Julep-Monaco Julep-Myriam Sally Hansen Color Frenzy- Red, White and Blue Sally Hansen- Beach Ball

Tri-Polish Challenge September 2 and Throwback all in One!

Image
....and I made it!! I decided to do a crazy tape mani for this one since I I wanted to try the whole crosshatch technique. Well, it took a little longer than I wanted...but I think it was worth it. Again, the challenge is to be given three colors- this month is Lilac, Blue and Pink- and then do 4 different manis with the colors. You must use at least 2 of the colors on at least 1 nail. You can use black, white, silver and gold as well. I always try to do at least 2 colors on all nails and at least 1 with all three. That is my little bonus I added for myself! As you can see above, these are the colors I am using again. Below is my little tape creation. I did three with a little crosshatch pattern and 1 with a plaid pattern. I also threw in the 1 solid for the throwback aspect!! The Maybelline- Shocking Seas is the only new that did not come from my un trieds pile. So-- for my Throwback Thursday I have Maybelline- Shocking Seas! Enjoy the rest of the visual party below! ...

Tri Polish Challenge- September

Image
I 'm back baby!! Ok, I am absolutely doing all four posts of the Tri-Polish challenge even if they are not on the correct days, I will force myself back into this. This month has been so crazy for me. My son started football which is 3 nights a week, then he has games and CCD on the weekends.  My daughter moved from a crib to a big girl bed and from diapers to underwear. My job went from calm to crraaazy. So, I have been going through this adjustment phase that is not smooth. I was just saying that I received my ILNP package and I didn't even have to want/need to open it. It took me 3 DAYS to open it. That is just a sin again the Polish Bible. So, I am going to force myself back into a routine... Back to the matter at hand. The colors this month are LILAC, BLUE AND PINK. So, I chose......   Sinful Colors- Candy Coated Sinful Colors- Boom Boom Maybelline- Shocking Seas

Independence Day Art Work

Image
Happy 4th of July. Americas Independence Day! July 4, 1776 is when America declared Independence from Great Britain. On this day, we eat tons of hot dogs, set of tons of fireworks, and wear the colors of our country- red, white and blue. I am bringing you three different manis for this holiday. My brother is in the military so these kinds of holidays are especially dear to me, as I am super proud of him and his brave decision to defend my Independence and all that comes with that so I don't have to! PS... This is pic heavy, but think of it as a bunch of fireworks of nails floating up your screen! Be safe and have a great day! The first set is my stamping mani. For this one I used OMG- Indian Red as my undies and Liquid Lacquer- Sparkly AF! as my topper. For this mani I also stamped, but I added some striping tape and a gradient effect on my first two fingers.  The last and final mani is the best one- I think! Just like the finale of fire...
