Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! This is the first SPD mani I have done in a couple of years. I am trying to get back into my creative mode again and nail art is baby steps. I actually did these a couple days ago because I am rocking some champagne and navy blue nails. Why, you ask? Well, my brother is getting married today, I love my SPD manis to be loud and very gold, so I had to skip celebrating on the actual day. Well, hold on, we will celebrate but just not with green nails. For this design, I did a dry marble on my pointer and pinkie nail and then a straight glitter bomb on my ring finger. I did a super abstract dry marble shamrock on my middle finger. Super easy, but excellent for this holiday!  Colors Used: Zoya- Wyatt Zoya- Jace Milani- 510 3D Madam Glam- Spicy Sahara

St. Patrick's Day Look for Work and for Play

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! Today, I am bringing a little Punk Rock to my nails in the key of green. I was curious as to how I was going to pull this off, but I did it, well I think I did...  First, I used this awesomely shifting color from Blue- Eyed Girl Lacquer. It's called BEGL Go Braugh which I won in a polishing naming contest a couple of years ago. This is the best green that I own.  I do not like the color green at all because I think most of the shades just pull out the yellow in my skin so I try to avoid it. The BEGL with the yellow- orange shimmer, for some reason, looks fantastic on me!  The way I punked this out is with a dry swirl, some clover rhinestones and an upside down waterfall. I love the way these all turned out and I was so happy to find out that I actually had little clover rhinestones. They are super cute, aren't they?  The way these two greens come together is very complimentary and I love all the shimmers together....

St. Patrick's Day 2015 and a Throwback Treat

Image
**Some products were provided for review** This year for St. Patrick's Day I decided to take it easy and go for a classic look. I usually go crazy and do some fun skittles. I have a had a crazy couple of weeks and this week is no different. For my fellow higher educators out there, you know the weeks in between spring break and graduation are just crazy especially for us Student Lifers.  So, I went with a classy St. Patty design with a simple glitter gradient. I love it and I will be able to rock it to work! I am also going to throw back for my older St. Patrick's Day designs. It's so crazy to see how they changed over the years!! I hope you have enjoyed my St. Patricks Day Treats today. I am going to leave you with these for tonight. I would love to see what you can do with them. You can even save them for next year! So for this tutorial, I will show you how to do a leprechaun hat, four leaf clover, and a pot of gold. THE LEPRECHAUN HAT 1. Choose your base color. I am going to do green :)  2. Make a rectangle 3. Make another smaller rectangle on the bottom of the first   4. Add your gold buckle. I just used a regular striper.  Colors Used: NYC- Highline Green Wet n Wild- Ebony Hates Chris Sinful Colors- Flower Girl FOUR LEAF CLOVER 1. Paint your nail a base color. I used a light green 2. Next draw a starburst (of sorts) with 8 ends 3. You are going to use those ends as the base of each leaf. For the tips of the leaf, you want to make a heart shape. So kind of make 4 little tiny hearts on those 8 ends. 4. Fill in your tiny hearts. 5. M...

So along with any other holiday, I have to bring you a tutorial. I used to loooove St. Patricks Day when I was working at Finnigans, but since then I have been kind of blagh about it. I miss that place, the people there and all the laughs I had. I really do. It's been a little over a year since I worked with all of those people and it seems like yesterday. I miss them all more than ever. Hopefully we will be able to all get together again soon, but for now I can always smile thinking about the times I have had. For my fantastic St. Patricks Day mani I decided to do a little skittle. I also have some tutorials to show you a little later today. Be sure to stay tuned!! BEGL Go Bragh by Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer

Welp, let's talk about a gorgeous green. I do not like the color green, but Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer makes a goooorgeous one! She recently had a naming contest for her St. Patricks Day color and I won! I named is BEGL Go Bragh. Love it? I did! This is a beautiful green creme with a orangeish shift. The color is so delicate and great. It is not a harsh green and looks great with my skin tone. I own several BEGL and I love them all. The formula is excellent them. I actually have the first four colors she ever made. I won them waaaay back when before she started selling them in her shop. Still in fantastic shape.  I tried to show the shimmer shift here, but I failed. lol. It shows better in the picture below, but you can still see the shimmer in this polish. It goes on so smooth. Literally like butter.  Yes-- and there is more. I seriously cannot get enough of this polish.  May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, may good luck pursue you ea...

Happy St Patrick's Day!!! Let it Snow Challenge

Ok ladies!! Here it is! I decided to do a little skittles for the ol' St Pattys Day! I love glitter, we all know, and I was so pumped to put my pretty Hit Polish on. I have waited all year for this! I bought Blarney Stone over the summer and I just looked at it sitting in my untrieds until today! I wish there were more holidays that I could wear this because it is great! Not a lot of people like bar glitter, but I do! I love bars and shards and this is what this is, but with Patty colors. You all know my favorite Hit Polish is Party Shardy and Blarney Stone is that, but with different colors. Drool!!! Well I hope everyone has a fantastic day and enjoys this green day! Enjoy!   Sinful Colors- Time Off Sinful Colors- Flower Girl Sinful Colors- Call You Later Sinful Colors- San Francisco NYC- High Line Green Hit Polish- Blarney Stone Essie- Marshmallow
