GET THE LOOK: Bold Metallic Eyes for 'Project Runway' Finale from Mary Kay

Image
**Press Sample** Today, I have an awesome look for you brought to you by Mary Kay. This is based on the Season Finale of Project Runway and I just love it! The Metallic look is in and I love the combination that Luis Casco put together. He has inspired just about all of the looks on this season Project Runway and they have all brought Mary Kay into the spotlight. I have loved ALL of the products I have got and it has really made me rethink their products. They are hip, great quality and easy to use. Not to mention really great prices.  So let's see what I got to play with: Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color- Glacier Gray $14.00 This goes on first. You can put this on the lid with a brush. This is a creamy shadow and goes on pretty easily. It is waterproof and dries fairly quickly. It also lasts pretty long. I tried cream eye color in another shade and it does not bleed either on me. Where I put it, it stays. As all cream colors, this also works as a great "undie...

Get a 'Project Runway' Faux Tan from Mary Kay

Image
**Press Sample**    I was recently given the opportunity to try out the Faux Tan look by Mary Kay from the Project Runway series. I have been in love with the looks coming out of Project Runway and Mary Kay this year and this has just been right up there with them. Now that we are getting into the colder months, I think adding a little sun to my look is super important since I do not believe in artificial sun. It is BAD for your skin. BADDDDD!!  Mary Kay Global Makeup Artist Luis Casco created this look exclusively for Project Runway and I am here to share it with you.  First up, the PRODUCTS : Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush This is is a great shimmery blush that I applied right where the sun would naturally hit. You don't want to go too crazy, because remember you want to go "faux tan". So think natural tan- natural sun rays. Light/ Medium Bronzing Powder Next is bronzer in the lightest shade. I use this to outli...

I am loving the blue lined eyes. Mary Kay makeup artist Luis Casco is right on trend in bringing these looks and he's at it again with the Graphic Blue Cat eyes and Playful Pink Lips. This was such a fun look to recreate.  First, I wanted to take the time to tell you a little bit about the man behind the look, Luis Casco.  Surrounded by the exotic beauty of his homeland, El Salvador, Luis has always had a great appreciation for what is beautiful. His early training in Paris, where he began a now-thriving career, uncovered a true calling as a professional makeup artist. Luis has worked for celebrities, fashion designers and editorial publications such as Elle, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar and more. He also has been the lead makeup artist backstage at red carpet events like ...

Project Runway Smokey Emerld Look from Mary Kay

Image
*sponsored* Project Runway is one of the summers hottest shows and Mary Kay has been supplying all of the makeup looks. For this look, Makeup Artist Luis Casco brings the fresh look of the jewel toned shades mixed with dark lips. First, for full disclosure purposes, I used a primer and foundation as well as my usual brow routine before I applied the look. Overall, I was really happy with all of the products I used. I was curious as how the bold lip would tie in, but I loved it. I will definitely be using this for my fall looks. So, let's move onto what products I used.  Below is the tutorial from Luis Casco as to which colors to use and how to use them.  First, I used the Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color in the shade Meadow Grass on the lid to the crease. Next, sweep Mary Kay® Mineral Eye Color in Emerald on the outer parts of the lid and crease. I blended those both together to make sure the the harsh lines were gone. The shades are really well matched, so you wi...
