Cute Halloween Skittle Design for Your Nails!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Halloween is my favorite holiday to do skittles. I did these a while back when I still had nubbins and when I was really into dotting anything! I've had this PhillyLovesLacquer of quite a while and I only pull it out once a year. It still applies very nicely and the glitters still come out evenly. I appreciate that in a nail polish thats a few years old. Good job PLL! I haven't done an interlocking design in quite a while so I decided to add that in. I have a couple more Halloween designs I want to throw out there before it gets too late. Sometime this week, my daughter and I are going ghoul for her favorite holiday. The only reason it's her favorite is because her birthday is the next day.  I hope you enjoyed this quick little skittle and stay tuned for more holiday themed nail art. Plus there's always something good going on over here. Fun, fun FUN! Colors Used: Sally Hansen- Blacky O Sally Hansen- Electra-cute P...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents Skittles

Image
I made it!!! ALL 4 for this month!! Katee would be so proud of me! I am super excited to start next month's challenge of BLACK AND WHITE. I may even include a skittle or skittlette design using only black and white. I am thinking of a stamping design that I have been wanting to do in this color scheme, as well. I have about a week to plan out my design for June. For this final design, I only used 3 colors. Along with the turquoise and black combo, I love the hot pink and black combo, as well. I have really been loving this color combination for a lot of things lately.  There is a girl in one of my nail groups (Spicy'z Nailz) who always does the best skittles. I love that she often includes one nail that has straight glitter on it. She was my inspiration for this design. I think the glitter nail just ties the rest all together.  For my pointer finger, I did 2 rows of hot pink dots over black. I was trying to do a half moon of tiny dots, but even the tiny dots...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents Skittles

Hey guys... I made it!! This is three out of four of of the monthly challenge! How about that?? I really really really like skittles.    For this design, I wanted to do something a little bit more classic. The original colors were Peony by ellagee, I'd Rather Be With Blue by KBShimmer and HD by Milani. I loved the calm combination of the Peony and the IRBWB mixed with the glitz of HD. It was really a great combo.   I went on to add the delicate stripes on my index and ring to add a little bit more glitz. If that wasn't enough, I added the iridescent stars on my pinky.    What do you think of this color combination?? Do you think the star glitter is going overboard?? I am also super excited to let you know that next month's theme has been picked and it's BLACK AND WHITE. I am pretty excited to see what the creative mind of ColorMeSoCrazy can come up with only using the most primary colors ever!!

Yes!! This is such a great theme, because I love skittles. For this design, I wanted to throw in some decor on my nails that I have been dying to use   I really liked the spring feel of these colors together. The purple selection that I choose really was awesome. Purple is my favorite color, as you all know so I am loving this hard! For the design, I used some round dots from KKCenterHk. You can see my review here . Next, I did the checkerboard pattern on my middle nail. For my ring finger, I just used the BEGL solo- beautiful on it's own! Finally, on my pinky, I used the Lacquer by Lissa over the SC.   I have almost completed this entire months' challenge and I am really proud of  myself. These last couple months have been really tough and it has been a struggle to swatch a polish let alone do nail art. I kind of forced myself to get back into it because it was so therapeutic for me and I love it! I am glad I did because it really mellows me out at th...

Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents- Skittles

Image
As some of you may know, this month is a skittles design for the Nail Challenge Collaborative this month. I am super, super excited because I love skittles. They are so fun to do and they fulfill all my randomness needs. NEON Skittles!! This is just for some summer fun!! I was craving some summer neon fun and this is what I got. I did a crazy stirping, layered design on my pinky. I just layered the Highlighter first, then taped and lifted, then the Hot Shot- tape and then the wet n' wild.  For my ring finger, I used the Wet n' Wild and then topped it with Love is a Battlefield by Frakker Lacquer. It such a fun, funky 80s polish.  For my middle finger I did a really fun checkerboard pattern. This was a little tricky to do, but I think it turned out really cool.  Finally for my pointer finger, I just did a simple dot design. It's kind of fun look and displays a 3D like design.  Colors Used: Love is a Battlefield WetnWild- Saved ...

Nail Art for Nubs

Image
So today, I went with a match, match mani. It matches the shirt I am wearing. I never, ever match my nails to my clothes so this is different for me. I love the blue and gold combo, so I am in love with it when I see it together in fashion or makeup. I think it looks so classy. I wanted to do a skittle for my Nail Challenge Collaborative post for this month, but I decided to do it for my Nail Art for Nubs post instead. I have some other design ideas in mind for my NCC posts. Colors Used: Maybelline- Bold Gold LilyPad Lacquer- Steeling Blue get the InLinkz code

Nail Art for Nubs- IT"S MY BIRTHDAY

Image
Whoop whoop!! It's my birthday today! So, what do I have on my nails?!?   Skittles! Of course! Whenever I want to go all out and can't decide what to do, I go for skittles. This week, since it's my birthday I wanted to do something super fancy.    I was going to do a gold and pink combo, but I have been Bold Gold-ing the heck out of my nails lately. So, I went for the silver. I loooooove these!!   I did a silver heart stamp with some of the Aly's stamped with hearts on top for the index finger. Next, I did a simple french with the Revlon on the tip. The ring finger has some of those great sequins on it for some extra bling. My pinky has some simple silver dots.   Colors Used: Aly's Dream Polish- Super Cherry Milani- Silver Revlon- Sequin   For your birthday, do you like to do a special birthday mani? I love to do something sassy every year!    I am in love with this and I hope it stays a while. I als...

GOT Polish Challenge- Skittles with Jindie Nails, Philly Loves Lacquer and Alter Ego Nail Enamel

Image
We just found out that we will be extending this challenge until at least May!! We got the spring list and I am super excited about it. This challenge is such a good way to not feel bad about my polish stash. The Crumpet, you are an enabler!!  I did a couple different designs, as you can see to fulfill the skittle requirement.  I did a simple french tip with some dot embellishment on my pointer finger. On my middle finger, I did an abstract dotticure. There is a criss cross striping design done with striping tape on my ring finger. Finally, on my pinky, I did an inverted triangle with a simple dot on the tip. Overall, I like how these turned out. The color combination is really fun. The Alter Ego Nail Enamel was a little hard to work with in the small art pieces, but it was a good base color.  The colors I used are: Philly Loves Lacquer- Pennhurst Asylum Jindie Nails- Olive You Alter Ego Nail Enamel- Air Transport Auxiliary Pilot...

Nail Art for Nubs

This will be the week of the skittles! I have been seeing skittles with the solid glitter finger and then the other fingers to follow. I have been wanting to do these types of designs with the chevron and all that fun that are on everyone's fingers!! Well I am going to do a full week of skittle designs because I WANT TO!! Last week, was absolutely mentally draining for me and I need to take a mindless nail art break. Like I need to slowly bring my creativity back. Skittle will be the way to do it. I kind of cheated with this one since the last 2 are the same, but hey it's a start for my mentally drained mind. Colors Used: ILNP- Contraband Victoria's Secret- Dream On

Halloween 2013 Skittles!!

Image
So, here's my Halloween 2013 Skittle Art. Yes, another skittle. I think that I have slacked a lot this season, so I had to quick make up for it all in one mani. That's what I did!! I hope that you all enjoyed my tutorials that I did leading up to this and I hope to do some more like it for the following holidays to come!  I used my Frankenstein tutorial for my pointer nail. I did a jack-o-lantern for my middle finger (or tall man as my son says). Next was just a glitter sandwich with orange creme color by Sinful Colors and then the glitter by Jordana.  The thumb is the same orange creme with glitter on top and then 2 glitter stripes in the corner.  For the pinky, I used the orange creme and did a french with 3 different colors. Purple, gold and white! Jordana- Copper Blaze Sinful Colors- Time Off Sinful Colors- Flower Girl Sinful Colors- Citrine Sinful Colors- Snow Me White NYC- High Line Green
