12 Days of Christmas Reindeer Tutorial

Image
Yes... we have all seen them. Now, I will teach you how to do them. This is my reindeer tutorial. I have seen many other bloggers that each have their own way of doing the famous reindeer tutorial. I really wanted to show you a couple different ways, but I ran out of time. So, instead I am going to just do links. This will give you different color and design ideas. Check them all out. If you happen to use any of them (including mine) and post it anywhere, don't forget to give credit :) We work hard and want to inspire you, but lately there have been problems with people CWOC (copying without credit) a lot in the blogging world. Show us some love too peeps!! Anyway, please do copy this, but always let you readers know where you got it from! So, here are a couple other designs that I found that you may like as well. Be sure to stop by and show them all some Christmas/Holiday love!! TopCoatIt Swatch and Learn FavNails The Nailasaurus Samarium's Swatches Colors Used: ...

12 Days of Christmas Lights!

Image
Ok folks... today for you I have a tutorial and my nail art for Sunday. Since I am loyal to my Steelers Sunday, I decided to push this off until today! I did the simple, usual lights mani that EVERYONE does! I recreated in ColorMeSoCrazy style, so the tutorial is the way that I did this. Enjoy and don't laugh at my first attempt at christmas lights! 1. First put on a base color. I chose L'Oreal Greycian Goddess. 2. Next use a sponge to do a gradient. Yes, I know my nail pic is blurry, but I really wanted you to see the what the sponge looks like because that is the important part. I literally just put a stripe of L'Oreal Now you Sea Me and then a stripe of KOH Cloudy on the top of the sponge. I dabbed it with the white towards the tip of my nail. Once I dapped until I got the color I liked, I stopped. The gradient does not need to be perfect because you are putting art over it. 3. Next, I used my black striping polish by Sinful Colors to make the curvy line fo...

Well, I didn't really do any nail art for this one but starting Monday, it will be full blown tuts or all Halloween art!! For this I just did every other nail with both base colors. I then used the Finger Paints as my accent nails. You all know that I like to switch up my accent nails. I never like to do the traditional so I use different nails than the traditional ring finger accent. I always get nervous using bar glitter, because it usually curls or sticks up or does weird things. This one was not that bad. I had to trim a little around the nail, but it stayed down pretty well. So, enjoy the straight fall gallery. LA Colors- Force Cosmetic Arts- Dark Green Finger Paints- Gourd or Bad?

Let's Go Steelers and NCC TwoFor!!

Whoop!!! It's Back!! I don't know how many times I have said this, I am super super super excited that football is back. I love watching, playing and wearing all things football. There is nothing better than fall weather, hoodies, sweaty men, hot chocolate and harding hitting action which all attribute all to football!! Anyway, today is the first regular season game for my Pittsburgh boys!! I am hoping they do better today than they did in the pre-season. So for the NCC part, this month is technique month. I interpret that as inventing my own technique. This mani I did something that I dub the "distressed dots". Have you ever put your top coat on and all of a sudden everything streaks?? Well the first time I did this, I said "wow that would be cool looking with the right colors". Well now that I have an opportunity with the open theme on the Nail Challenge Collaborative, I'm doing it! Distressed Dots: 1st- used a base coat of whatever color you like. ...

First Pittsburgh Sports Nails!!

Image
So, I am back in my Sports Manis! It's that time of year. Of course, since Finnigans is closed, I will not be doing as many as before. But... I love my Pittsburgh sports so I will be representing properly. Anyway, I had my company baseball game yesterday so I decided to do some Pittsburgh Pirates skittles on my nails. For some reason, my Pittsburgh Nails always take so long to do. Im not sure if it's becuase they are usually skittles or if it is because I have so many colors that I use. Either way I love the colors that our sports teams have. Black and Yellow is such a great combo! Anyway, without further ado.... Pittsburgh Pirates nails!! I looooove all the pumpkin art I have seen and I have come to the conclusion that my fingers/nails are too small to do all these beautiful elaborate designs that I see. So, I only put 1 little jack-o-lantern on each nail. Enjoy!! Sinful Colors- Black on Black Funky Fingers- Electric Sunset NYC- Highline Green LA Colors- Force Cosmo Girl- White and Black
