I'm Changing My Ways

Image
Over the last 5 years, I have been able to show you so many great beauty products from the newest nail polish to the hottest trends in makeup. I have so much enjoyed my time with all the partners I have worked with and all the friends I have made. Now, I think it's time I start to expand! I want to be able to show you all the things I am excited about. Don't get me wrong... I will still remain loyal to all of my beauty expeditions, but every once in a while I will be showing off some non-beauty things that interest me.    I am a mother, a chronic migraine sufferer, a full time employee and just all around crazy gal; you already know that! So, I want you all to join me in my journey for each of these areas in my life. I know so many of you enjoy my snaps of my crazy, circus filled, life, so I want you all to join in with me here! I've come across so many great things about these other areas in my life that I just think you should know about them!   I expanded whe

Red Coat Tuesday

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** For this season of Pretty Little Liars, I am going to do my best to continue the Red Coat Tuesday looks but I've been going through some crazy things at work. So... I will try my best! This week, I am showing off a look that I did last season and did not get to use it.  This is a simple stamped, jelly sandwich look using some of my favorite red polishes. I tend to always pull out the same ones when I am doing the RCT looks and on my next one, I am going to *try* to use some different ones. I just know these will work for what I am going for. Full disclosure here.. I will be watching last weeks episode as well as this weeks tonight because I missed it! I had to go to bed early because I was waking up at 3:30 in the morning the next day for a flight so I didn't get to see all of it. Bright, Fun and Easy Summer Makeup

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I decided to do a look for a simple, sleek and beautiful summer makeup look. I use this look with different colors just about everyday. It's lightweight, easy to use and can be used with multiple combinations of colors. You don't have to use the exact ones I did, but I'm a natural/nude girl during the summer so if you are into those colors, this may work for you. The Pacifica Trio that I received is a perfect 3-in-1 for me. It has a light highlighter, a mid-toned shade and a dark shade that I used as a liner. I do this often during the summer; using a dark shadow to line my lids instead of a pencil or regular liner. It just feels lighter and sometimes even stays better.   You can swap out any colors to do the liner and all over lid look. Sometimes, during the summer months, I use a bright blue liner with a gold lid. Another one of my favorite combinations is a purple shadow liner with and pearl all over lid.  Products Use

June Sephora Play! Box is HERE... See What I Think

Image
This month's Play! box is based on minimized looks. "Next-level nudes and no- maintenance naturals" is what this box is all about. Less is more and a low-key look is what is hot for this summer. I can't wait to bring these to the beach and show you how they work in the life of a beach bum! BUMBLE AND BUMBLE- Don't Blow It This is to be used on towel dried hair and use it to throw a simple style to your locks. This is a a texturizer to fine-to-medium hair. I will be using this by throwing it in my hair and then putting it in a braid to help tame that volume. Not to mention, this smells fantastic! BAREMINERALS- bareSkin Bronzer This is a dropper bottle bronzer that is designed to be worn alone or over foundation. To keep with the minimalist theme, I will be wearing this on it's own for a little bronzy boost! This can also double as a tint for your foundation. Once I come back from vacation, hopefully I will have a little bit of a tan! I wi

My Week Long Beach Nails

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Whoop!! I'm on vacation and I'm lovin it! So, I did these nails before I actually left and CONFESSION TIME: I changed my polish before I left for something that is easier to maintain on vacation. If you really want to see what's on my nails during this week, check it on Snapchat----> Szizzy12184 For the top two looks, I used the following polishes. I then added a topper to my middle finger and pinky finger just for some more swag!! Color Used: KBShimmer- How Low Can You Flamingo MidWest Lacquer- Secret Heart I then added: Jindie Nails- Sour Skittle Jindie Nails- Hot Pink Floyd As you can see, I added a little seashell charm on my ring finger and then some iridescent stars on my pointer finger. I love both of the looks and I actually wish I would have done a look with a matte top coat, too. The MidWest Lacquer (on my ring finger) is a thermal so I have been playing with that for the last couple of days. Warm is

NYC New York Color Summer Balms

Image
**Press Samples** Happy Wednesday everyone!! Today, I have a nice and light (literally) post for you. NYC New York Color has put out a new line of lip balms and they are soooo perfect for these hot days.  Cool Nude Cool Nude is the first shade I have to show you. Since this is a balm, it literally is nude and no color on my lips. I did see a slight shimmer in the actual tube, but I didn't see any on my lips after I applied it. Fashionable Fuchsia This is a watermelon pink color and it's my favorite out of the collection. I'm not sure if I love it so much because it has a nice pinky tint or because of it's name. It's so fun! Anyway, this does leave a little more tint than the Cool Nude and it would look nice layered over a nude lipstick that needs a little tint. In Vogue Red Lastly, I have the red of the collection. As you can see it's not a pure pigmented red, but it's tinted. Keep that in mind when you see these colors. It

Red Coat Tuesday for the Season Premiere of Pretty Little Liars

Image
**Press Sample**  Soooo I dropped the ball and thank goodness a fellow blogger picked it up for me and kept going. Tonight is the Pretty Little Liars Summer premiere and I didn't even know! Is that bad or does that mean that this past season was bad?  It may be a mixture of both because it really took me a long time to get into last season's episodes. Hopefully it is not off to a dry start again this season. I want ALL the PLL drama!!  For this week, I did a quick and dirty swatch of the Infallible Pro Matte Gloss from L'Oreal in the shade Shanghai Scarlet. This is a true, super creamy red that dries more satin then matte. It is a rich color and does leave a stain. I love this because it makes me reapplication time shed waaaaay down.  What do you think of straight red lip color? Are you a fan? I feel like you are either a total fan of red or not at all. There are no in-between red lovers. Are you looking forward to the new PLL season? Do you have any

June Ipsy Glam Bag and I Am Feeling Some Kind of Way!

Image
**Affiliate Link** Ok, ok... drumroll please. You know that I have strong feelings about my Ipsy bags. I have been loving my bags since April. The black pencil liners have disappeared and I actually got some really great products that I may even repurchase. Check out what I got this month and let me know what you think. ColourPop Cosmetics Creme Gel Liner  This is in the color Got Paid AND I am NOT mad about this liner. It's colored, gel and not a pencil so I am pretty excited about it! The color Got Paid is a metallic rose gold that leans towards a bronze. It is smooth and easily blended. Pete Lamas Youth Revival 5 Oil Hair Treatment Mask  This is a blend of 5 exotic oils to bring on the shine, bounce and frizz-free. Abyssinian, Baobab, Mongongo, Broccoli Seed, and Kukui Nut combine for this 3- minute treatment. I love Peter Lamas products, so I am excited to try this one. I will be bringing this on vacation to see how it works for that beach hair! Use IPSYJ16
