The Nail Challenge Collaborative present Unitrieds 3

Image
Yes... I am blowing through my untrieds!! Today I have a color that I featured in my Nail Art for Nubs challenge on Monday. Yes, it's one of the Dance Legend trios. This is trio #3. It is supposed to shift from gray to pink to dark purple. Well for some reason, I could only catch a light purple and dark gray. haha. The pictures above show the transfer from the cold to warm colors. Even though I could only get 2 colors, I don't mind because they are two beautiful colors.  Yeah I am weird. I guess my body temperature is funky?!? I think next time I play with this, I will try around the summer time to see if that changes anything. In case you missed my stamping art that I did early this week featuring this polish as my base, you can check it out here-----> Nail Art for Nubs

Welp, as promised I have engaged in another stamping adventure. I promised that I would continue to practice my stamping until it got it down. I am far from that, but when I pulled out my Dance Legends triple change thermal polish for my NCC theme, I knew I wanted to incorporate some kind of stamping on it for my Nail Art for Nubs theme. Colors Used: MJ XIII Image Plate Dance Legends- #3 Trio Wet n Wild- Ebony Hates Chris This is the best shot I got of the gray to pink shift. You can see the gray towards to base of my nail. This is the warm color. It is supposed to be gray, but since I was at a resting temperature, I think it is leaning towards to "warm" of pink.  The stamping for this was awesome! I am really proud of myself for this design. It took a couple tries, but I was able to do the best I could.  This is with the color transitioning from cold to warm. My tips are the dark purple and the base is the gray color. It is really hard ...

Liquid Sky Lacquer- Jekyll and Hyde

Image
Ok, as you all saw in my Nail Art for Nubs post on 1/20, I got this fantastic beauty from a gift card I won from Color4Nails. This is my first Liquid Sky Lacquer and I am in deep deep love with it! It is a holo thermal that leans dark brown when cold and a light champagne color when warm. My rest color is usually warm, so it was a nice nude color to wear. This was really nice transition as well. When I went outside it literally turned and once I warmed up it turned back. The application was really nice as well. It was smooth and was opaque in about 3-4 coats. They go on really thin, so it is no smooshy after those 4 coats. I am in total love with this polish, I think I may have mentioned that already, but it is gorgeous and I think ALL of you should be sure to get yours. So... be prepared to drool and look at a toooooon of pictures!! Warm Colors Cold Colors In Transition

Here we are... Yet another Monday! Good thing is I have done some experimenting for you!! I recently won a contest where I was able to purchase a couple products from Color4Nails. Included in that purchase was my very first Liquid Sky Lacquer. I am soooo amazed by thermals that I must have them all. The Liquid Sky Lacquer is called Jekyll and Hyde and it is straight sexy!! Anyway, for this design I wanted to do something with 2 different thermals in one design. I had this brilliant design in my head. I would do thick stripes and then showcase the different color temps with that....Well, it was a little harder than I expected. First, I used TBH Fantasy Island for the accent. This has a different temperature threshold than the Liquid Sky Lacquer did. Cold Colors Warm Colors As you can see it was really tricky to catch a picture with them both in transition. The easy part was getting them both cold or both hot, but since they both changed at different temps...
