How I Spruced Up MY Cozy Spot with Soft Surroundings

Image
**Press Sample** Soft Surroundings quickly became one of my favorite stores to shop home goods to give my house a great new look. In addition to home goods, Soft Surroundings also has beauty products and apparel. This season, I am showing off some really great goodies from their Spring Collection. I am also showing off a super easy way that I turned a boring old chair into MY new comfy spot!   First up, I have Paris Euro Shams in the color Arctic Fox . These Euro Shams are super comfy, luxurious, faux fur and a great addition to anyone's comfy spot. The pattern on the sham is this woven, raised braid that just pulls the beauty of this sham to a whole new level. This is a Euro sham, so it's larger than a standard sham. 26 inches is the size filler you will need to bring this pillow to life.  I am also showing off the matching Paris Faux Fur Throw to go along with the Paris Euro Shams. The throw is large and luxurious. I find myself snugging up underneath thi...

Car Talk from the Beauty Blogger

Image
**Sponsored Post** Just about a year ago, my family and I embarked on a quest to find the “perfect” family vehicle. Now, for some of you this may seem like a simple task BUT not for us! We googled just about every type of car there was and ended up back in the same place; what is available for us, near us, at this current time. We eventually stumbled upon cars.com as one of our search tools to help us complete our quest. There was so many search options that we could literally tailor the search to exactly what we wanted.  As many of you know, I have two kids so a bigger car was important to us for the space and to avoid all that love sibling bickering, you know what I'm talking about parents! They are both so (soooooooooo) involved and we do a lot of running. We also travel a lot, so space to put Christmas presents, suitcases, baseball gear and ballet friends was at the top of our list.  We knew we didn’t want to travel over 25 miles to get our vehic...

Heated Dog Bed for My Most Loved Pup!

Image
**Powered by BrandBacker** Pet Magasin gave me this great product to try out with my ol' pup, Kashi. The self- heating dog bed is one of their best sellers and comes in 2 different sizes. The package that I got has two mats;  1 large (28.5" x 34.5") and 1 small (17" x 11"). The mat is self-heated by a Mylar film which is the same material used in spacesuits that reflects your pets body heat and holds it in to insulate them from the cold floor. The top is a velvety material that is a durable and hypoallergenic foam. The bottom has rubber grips to keep the mat from slipping.  First, I love how soft these feel. Kashi does, too! She was a bit apprehensive at first, but once she felt how soft the pad was and how warm it was, she fell in love. I do have two concerns with this product. 1) The size! Geez oh man, what a difference between the large and small. Like there is not a happy medium. If you don't have a teacup sized dog, go for the large or your ...

Paint Nite with Hubby

Image
Last week, my hubby and I finally got around to using a Groupon for PaintNite that I bought him for Christmas. Our schedules are super crazy with the full swing of Spring sports, school almost ending and outside play back in action.   I was so nervous on the way to our PaintNite for 2 reasons. 1- I have never been to the place that we were going to be painting. It is close to my house, but at a bar I have never been to. I am weird when it comes to my regular watering holes. 2- I am a horrible artist. Funny since I am a makeup and nail girl, but when it comes to bigger canvases, I bite it.  I was really glad about the structure of the whole night. It was super easy to follow along with and very easy for me to understand. Check and plus! The girl who was leading the class broke it down into 3 easy segments to paint. First was the sky and ground. Then the trees. Then the flowers.  As you can see, both interpretations of colors and shapes were very ...

Summer Goals by Color Me So Crazy

Image
Over the last month, I have been doing a lot of thinking about my goals this summer. Not only for me as a blogger, but me as a person. I have been really struggling personally and professionally lately and I think it's about time that I find out what I really want. I am such a people pleaser that I think it finally has taken it's toll on me.  At home, I have been dealing with just a lot of changes. My kids are getting older. I don't have any babies anymore. I have a school aged child and a middle schooler. With all the crazy stuff going on in the world, it's even scarier being a parent. I just worry about the things my kids have to see and do compared to my; life growing up. I have always been the type of person that worries about everything. I think it has finally caught up with me.  I am more stressed than I have ever been and more worried about things I can't change.  So, to make myself even more crazy...I am trying to make some summer goals. Actually, I a...
