The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents 3rd Anniversary Surprise

Image
For my final installment, I am doing a recreation of a cloud mani by the Nails for the Sake of Sanity. Next month's theme will be flowers!! I decided to do this one because well April Showers bring May flowers, right?? Well, I guess that is where next months theme is coming from.... Meh. Well, my Birthday is in April and all I want is SUN!! We didn't get much of it in Pennsylvania.   I love doing these cloud manis and I haven't done one in quite some time so when I came across this, I was so excited to recreate it. The only problem is, I didn't have a chrome silver. Gah! I must find a good one. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I tried one, but it was not easy to apply so I used the Sequin instead. Colors Used: Sally Hansen- Gray by Gray Sally Hansen- Costume Glitters L'Oreal- Stroke of Midnight Revlon- Sequin What do you think of this one? Do you think the Revlon Sequin was a good substitution?  Do you have any good silver chrome

Ipsy April Bohemian Beauty Glam Bag Review

**Affiliate Link** Julie G Nail Color This color is in Damsel. It is a pink creme.  I did swatch this but you will have to wait for the later post to see it. I used it under some nail decals. It is a suuuuuper pretty color for the summer. I have a couple pinks close to this color and I love them. It's not too bright and it's perfect for work!     Pandora's Makeup Box Blush  This blush is in the color of Pink Carnation. It is a pinky color on my skin tone. I love pink blushes for the spring and summer. They are so fresh and bright.   theBalm Cosmetics Eye Shadow   This is in the color Fit. I actually did not like this on my lids but I have been using it as a bronzer when I want a little shimmer. I love my theBalm prodys so I can't let it go to waste.   Olive Natural Beauty Lip Balm   This is an awesome products. It is animal cruelty free beeswax lip balm that  truly does moisturize.

My Birthday Nails using Nail Studs from Born Pretty

Image
**Product Review** So.... TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!! Wahoo!! I decided to do something super fun on my nails. It's super fun and super colorful. I got these circle, square and diamond shaped studs from Born Pretty to review and I thought I would use them for my special day since they are so colorful. They come in a little pot- which I love because they are so much easier to handle. I dump a little out in the cap and work with those. I used my wax ended dotting tool to apply them. So, I literally dipped the end of one of my dotting tools in some wax and now it's my tiny rhinestone applicator. I tried tweezers but I just can't. Sometimes, I dip the wax end in a little water and it just picks up and applies with so much better control. Anyway, these babies are just $1.99 and you get about 300 little pieces in the pot. That sounds silly. The colors are super fun. They are like a muted neon. I call these the Miami colors. Hence the reason I used some colors from the Ke

My next look, which is number 3, was inspired by Dancing Phalanges. It is in my favorite color combination! You can see Ali's entire post here .   I love using black and white because it's such an easy base to dress up for fun. This look is so fun and geometric, too!  For my own added flair, I added a little bit of color just to make it unique. The first two looks I did, I literally recreated exactly what the original blogger had so I wanted to do something a little different. I think it turned out pretty nice. I actually like the purple flair!! I was going to add blue, but this week has been literally nothing but rain and we are getting literally nothing but more rain so I am going to avoid any kind of rain related colors hoping it will make the rain go away. lol Colors Used: Maybelline- Black Onyx Rica- Whiteout Sinful Colors- Amethyst

Alpha Mani does L with Lynnderella

Image
**Prize** This weeks letter is the letter L and the group picked Lynnderella to represent the letter L. I won this as a prize and it is actually the ONLY Lynn I own.   I am just not that big of a Lynn fan and I am not sure why. I never got into the brand and my wallet is probably thanking me a million times over. Every polish I have every seen from this brand has been absolutely gorgeous!   This was super hard to get a close up shot of because it is sooo packed with glitter, but it is super pretty. It is a royal purple base which I always forget that I don't need an undie for this but I continue to put one on. I won this in a giveaway from Oh Three Oh Four and her swatches look 97 times better than mine but I love it! Do you own any Lynnderella polishes?  What do you think of this one? Do you love it?

Ohhh Look at My New Specs by John Varvatos PLUS a Giveaway!

Image
**This Product Was Provided for Review** Well you all know how much I love my big chunky glasses so when I got a chance to try out these new John Varvatos glasses, I was super excited!  Yes, I know John Varvatos is a men's line but I find it super hard to find awesome plastic framed glasses in the women's section, so my secret... buy smaller framed men's glasses... Shhhh Anyway,  I was super excited to find a shape and high end brand that I liked. I, along with a lot of you, like my name brands. John Varvatos is a very well known name brand and has a lot of high end classy and sassy clothes. In line with the clothes, these glasses are classy and sassy. I love these because they are so bold looking and definitely make a statement. These glasses are made of a full plastic frame with a single bridge that has the JV guitar logo on the arm near the temple. It is fitted with a spring hinge and the arms fit comfortably around your ear. The best part abou
