Born Pretty Rhombus Water Decals Nail Art

Image
**Product Review** I got these really cool, geometric water decals to play with from Born Pretty. I decided to go for a cosmic look, so of course I used Star Hopping from China Glaze as my base coat. They are $1.99 and you can choose from gold your silver. These were really easy to apply and for those of you who have never used a water decal, they are suuuuper easy to use! You just cut out the area that you want to apply. For me, I just cut out sections that fit my nail. Don't forget I have super tiny nail beds, so I had to kind of shimmy things around and trim a couple designs. So, all you do is place the piece that you want to apply to your nail in a bowl of water and let it sit for a couple of seconds. You can test it to see if the design slides off easily. If it does, it's ready. If not, let it sit for a couple more seconds. When it's ready, just place it on your nail. Seal it with your favorite top coat. I use Seche Vite .   I really liked these dec...

Born Pretty Shell Nail Stud Review

Image
**Provided for Review** I got these fun shell shaped nail studs from Born Pretty to play with and I figured since we are having summer like weather here, I am going to show these off. I just wish I had some sand and waves in front of me.  These studs come in a pack of 10 pieces for $2.22. They come in both silver and gold. Don't forget you can use my little discount code for 10% off. BSZK31.  So, the first thing I noticed and I was SUPER impressed about was the shape. I got a similar item a couple years ago from Born Pretty and they were flat. I had to shape them myself around my nail before I put them on and it took a long time. I never wore the again and basically swore off buying any metal charms form Born Pretty again. Well, this time they were perfectly shaped to fit my nail. If you have more of a curved nail, you may have to play with them, but they were perfect for me!  I also really liked the size. Again, I have suuuupppper TINY nail beds to if...

My Birthday Nails using Nail Studs from Born Pretty

Image
**Product Review** So.... TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!! Wahoo!! I decided to do something super fun on my nails. It's super fun and super colorful. I got these circle, square and diamond shaped studs from Born Pretty to review and I thought I would use them for my special day since they are so colorful. They come in a little pot- which I love because they are so much easier to handle. I dump a little out in the cap and work with those. I used my wax ended dotting tool to apply them. So, I literally dipped the end of one of my dotting tools in some wax and now it's my tiny rhinestone applicator. I tried tweezers but I just can't. Sometimes, I dip the wax end in a little water and it just picks up and applies with so much better control. Anyway, these babies are just $1.99 and you get about 300 little pieces in the pot. That sounds silly. The colors are super fun. They are like a muted neon. I call these the Miami colors. Hence the reason I used some colors from the Ke...

Dani 3 Color Compact Review from Born Pretty AND DISCOUNT CODE

Image
**Press Sample** I was recently given an opportunity to review for a new company. Born Pretty approached me to do some make up reviews for them and was excited. I have been doing more and more make up reviews and I like it. Sometimes it's a nice break from all of the polish. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my polish, but I like to give my readers some fresh stuff sometimes.  So, I have used this for about 2 weeks now. I love this product. It is now part of my contouring and highlighting routine. I will tell you why below. This product comes with 3 different colors and a sponge. There are 2 powders and 1 cream. The top portion of the compact are the 2 powders and the bottom is the cream and the sponge. For me the cream was slightly oily and translucent, but it covered really well once I applied the powered on it. It stayed really well. **HOT TIP** This was a great shadow primer. I put the cream on my lids, on my arch and under my eyes and it helped my ...

Natural Looking Curved False, Thick Long Eyelash Review from Born Pretty

Image
**Press Sample**   Ahh, the fake eyelash review.  I have been dreading doing a review on eyelashes for a couple of reasons, but mostly because I get nervous about showing others my lash application. I wear lashes often. For special events, for a work events and even for a little daily pick me up.     Natural Looking Curved False Eyelash Thick Long Fake Eyelash   I was given this set of 10 pairs from Born Pretty. I usually use straight across lashes, but I wanted to go for a more angled lash this time. These are all handmade with artificial fibers and very easy to use.     These were a little long for me and I had to cut them to make them fit my eye. The good thing is these lashes blended so well with my real lashes that they were easy to apply. When I use lashes, I usually use longer ones since my natural lashes are long already. This made applying the shorter end of these tricky for me. I had to discover a new technique....
