Christmas Tree Nails- How To

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I have not done a quick tutorial for you guys in so long. I decided to bring it back for one of my favorite, easy holiday designs. It's perfect to dress up any nails and super easy to do! I started with a white base coat on an accent nail. Once my base coat dried, I taped it off. I did a v-shape outline for the edges of the tree. Next I used a skinnier tape to do a criss cross pattern down to the edge of the nail.  Once all of my tape was in place (as you can see it wasn't sticking for me), I added a green color on top of the tape. The area that I was doing my nails in was quite chilly so that is probably why all of my tape was curling. It's kind of important to do your nails in a warmer area so the polish and accessories work well with you.  Once you applied all of your green color, remove the tape. You will be left with a tree looking shape. Now you are ready to decorate!  This is where you get to be creative! You can...

For my last 12 Days of Christmas Challenge, which I can proudly say I completed ALL the WAY!!! and almost on time everyday, I did a Santa. I was just going to do this head and be done, but I wanted to show you all of Santa.  I made his hat, coat, head, and pants. Of course, you know I had to add a little sparkle to the fluffy parts. What is a nail polish Santa without a little glitter??  I hope you all enjoyed all of my tutorials and holiday manis as much as I did. I really had fun doing this and Ihope to hop on another one during Valentine's Day!! 12 Days of Christmas Candy Cane Tutorial

Image
So, here is yet another easy Christmas tutorial to do. It's my candy cane tutorial. The fun thing about this is there are sooooo many patterns you can do for candy canes. There are rainbow candy canes, candy canes with only thick lines, small candy canes, you get my point. So as long as there are some color and lines, you can make candy canes. Polish Used: Sinful Colors- Snow Me White Sinful Colors- Ruby Ruby KBShimmer- I Only Have Ice for You Step 1: Paint your nails with your base color. I chose white because I am going for the traditional candy cane color.   Step 2: *Optional* I added a little silver holo glitter just for the fancy smancy of it. This is not necessary, but just a little addition to make it ColorMeSoCrazy Step 3: I added striping tape in the pattern that I wanted. Don't forget that where you do not put the tape, your top color will show. For this pattern, I will decided to do some thick and skinny red stripes as well as a thick and ski...

Poinsettia Tutorial

Image
Today, I have a poinsettia tutorial for you all. As part of my 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge, I decided to add tutorials in wherever I can. Since they are all Christmas related, we are good to go. For this tutorial I used the following colors: China Glaze- With Love Sinful Colors- San Fransisco Sinful Colors- Snow Me White Maybelline- Onyx Rush Nostalgic Nail Lacquer- Duckie 1. First I applied my base colors. I chose to do red, the China Glaze, on all of my fingers except the ring which will be my accent finger. 2. Next I started to create the actual flower part of the plant. I made a couple strokes with a thin brush. I started with kind of a star shaped pattern and filled it in. It looks a little bumpy in the pictures. I did some of this to add a little depth and texture so then when I add the detail, it will be easier. You can skip this and smooth them out if you want. 3. Next I added the leaves. I used the Sinful Colors- San Fransisco and Nostalgic Nail La...
