The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents Holiday Season Nails

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Guys Santa is coming sooo soon and  I haven't done any Christmas nails!! Ugh! This is my first go at the Holidays and I wanted to start simple. Candy canes are my absolute favorite Christmas treat, so I wanted to do a little treat on my nails.  I used a stamping plate and striping tape to create this super simple look. If you are looking for a quick, easy look to do for the holidays, this may be it!  Colors Used: Santee- Crystal White Sally Hansen- Rhapsody Red

The One and Only November Nail Challenge Collaborative

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I have been really struggling to get all of my months challenges done now that I am not posting every day. I loooove dots and it's one of my favorite design to do on my nails, so I was bummed when all of  a sudden I was at the end of November!! I decided to pull out all those dot-stops and do something fall like. I am using two of my favorite fall Zoya colors matched with round gold studs.  Charli is such a beautiful khaki green color that I will be rocking a lot this season! Colors Used: Zoya- Sue Zoya- Charli

Pinktober Nails for The Survivors

**May Contain Press Samples** Ok, I know I am getting these in at the tail end of the month, but better late than never! As some of you may of may not know, I had a breast tumor removed about 6 years ago. I was 8 months pregnant when I had my lumpectomy. It was a very rare tumor that, thankfully, was able to be removed fully. It was found when I was three months pregnant, but couldn't be removed until I was in my third trimester. That was one of the scariest times in my life.   For this mani, I went full on Sinful Colors. I used RADiant as my base then Pink Break and 24/7 as the accent dots. I wanted to do something fun, simple and I would be able to wear all week. RADiant is a demi-matte and I just love that creamy muted look.  I miss doing my nails with fun designs, but I am super excited for the upcoming holidays and I can't wait to dive into the fun art to follow! Next... a little bit of fall and Halloween! Colors Used: Sinful Colors- Pink Break Sinful C...

NCC August Challenge- NEONS

Image
**May Contain Press Samples**   I am soooo far behind in this challenge BUT I have had a suppper busy month! Work has been super stress-fully crazy, but it keeps me busy and pays the bills. Lol! Anyway, I really wanted to participate at least in this months challenge so I went for it all!  I'm using a whole bunch of different neon colors which reminded me that I don't have nearly enough. I think the whole Mentality thing put a damper on that, for me. So, I found as many as I could and went to stamp town!   Colors Used: Orly- Truly Tangerine KB Shimmer- How Low Can You Flamingo? The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents PUNK ROCK Easter Edition

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** So, I did it... yup a Punk Rock Easter look.... Wellllll... It's as Punk Rock as you're going to get with Easter! This is my second installment for The Nail Challenge Collaborative monthly nail theme challenge. We vote on a theme each month and then we do nail art based on those themes. This month's theme is Punk Rock. You all saw my St. Patty's Punk Rock nails last week.... This week, I wanted to go for something that was super fun but still punky at the same time. I stuck with the pastel-ish theme that is Easter, to me. I added some of the usual Easter suspects- Easter Eggs, Mr. Easter Bunny, glitter... lol. Well, the glitter and rhinestones were for the Punk Rock effect. Now, that I am over the holiday hump, I am going to come up with a hardcore design for my last design of this challenge. Colors Used: Ellagee- Calla Lilly Ellagee- Hydrangea Ellagee- Peony KB Shimmer- I'd Rather Be Blue with You KB Shimmer- Bl...

St. Patrick's Day Look for Work and for Play

Image
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! Today, I am bringing a little Punk Rock to my nails in the key of green. I was curious as to how I was going to pull this off, but I did it, well I think I did...  First, I used this awesomely shifting color from Blue- Eyed Girl Lacquer. It's called BEGL Go Braugh which I won in a polishing naming contest a couple of years ago. This is the best green that I own.  I do not like the color green at all because I think most of the shades just pull out the yellow in my skin so I try to avoid it. The BEGL with the yellow- orange shimmer, for some reason, looks fantastic on me!  The way I punked this out is with a dry swirl, some clover rhinestones and an upside down waterfall. I love the way these all turned out and I was so happy to find out that I actually had little clover rhinestones. They are super cute, aren't they?  The way these two greens come together is very complimentary and I love all the shimmers together....

Today is kicking off a new theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative Group and it is PUNK ROCK! I am kind of excited about this but I am going to have to do a Pink Rock St. Patty's Day and a Punk Rock Easter theme so that will be fun and challenging at the same time.  For this first design, I went for Glam Rock with a little pink, lots of sparkles and some matte splat. I love mixing the mattes and the glossy colors together especially when it comes to punk rock nails because it makes such an awesome effect. Next week will be St. Patty's Day Punk nails so get ready for that creativity that will be flowing. Colors Used: Man Glaze- #Matte is Murder Orly- Purple Crush KB Shimmer- I Only Have Ice for You Ozotic- 534

Well ladies and gents, I have made it yet another month and right in time yet again!! I did not brave a freehand BUT I did attempt one. Fail, yes I did. I can say that I did attempt one, though.  This one, again, I used waterslides. I also did a cute little accent heart. Yes, I know, they are upside down BUT I'll rock the heck out of them anyway. I love the Revlon- Sequin under the waterslides. They made a really great background.   I am kind of glad this months theme is over and I am supppper excited about next months theme. It was just announced! You are going to be "rocked" by it! Anyone want to take any guesses on what it is by that little hint there? Colors Used: Revlon- Sequin Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer- She's Electricity KB Shimmer- I Only Have Ice for You

**Bought It** Ok.... I wanted to go waaaay outside the box for this one and I did. Typography is the theme and I wanted to stick with it so I went for some gems and a single letter.  "C" for Color Me So Crazy is as creative as I could go for this one. I tried to free hand and it just went downhill, so this was the backup plan. I have one more prompt to do for this one and I have no idea what I am going to do. I have about a week to decide so... if you have any suggestions, please leave them below. Maybe I'll have a magical day and try to freehand again! Colors Used : Sinful Colors- Mesmerize Victoria's Secret- Dream On

For this design, I went with a water slide again. I am not brave enough to attempt a free hand typography, yet. I am going to try to do it but not yet. These watersides are just blocked, graffiti type letters. I just did my regular base coat and then put the slides right on top of it. I kind of like the nude, underneath look. I also don't know what color I would pick if I had to do a colored base. Any suggestions? Also, if you want more fun and shenanigan's in your lift, don't forget to check out my Snapchat. I have lots of fun all over my story AND I'm doing a #30DaySnapChallenge, so you will get to learn all about MEEEEEEE!! szizzy12184 is my username

**May Contain Press Samples** Today we start a new theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative. Since I horrible handwriting to begin with, I am going to rely heavily on decals and stamping. I am, well I am going to try, to do a freehand but if it looks horerendous, it probably won't end up here. You'll only get a peep on SnapChat (szizzy12184). I used water slide decals for this look. They are just conversation bubbles in a cartoon style. My nail beds are super super small, so you will never enjoy the full conversation but you will only get bits and pieces of the conversation... lol. I went for a funky neon set of colors and I love the way they came out. I am a vampy girl at heart but I wanted something bright and fun to get me out of the funk I have been in. Do you like the bright colors? What do you think of this month's theme? Colors Used: Sinful Colors- Why Not? Glam Glaze- Tubular KB Shimmer- Sarong Place, Sarong Time Clubbing Girl- Club Girl ...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents PURPLE!!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Today, is is super special day because this is my 4th post for the Nail Challenge Collaborative post and that means that I have completed the entire month before the month is over!! Wahooo for me!! For this design, I used a fan brush and a whole lot of purple metallics and went to town. I love the way this entire design came out.  I used the Cirque as a base and remembered that it dries slightly matte so I decided that I wanted to go with a rough finish with the entire design. I used the rest of the colors and fanned them on with the brush. I think it looks slightly punky and I love it! Colors Used:  Cirque- Baptisia KB Shimmer- Fig-Get About It Revlon- Sequin What do you think of this design? Do you love it?
