How Does LipSense Hold Up Against Others?

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I got the opportunity to try out some LipSense products a couple of months ago and I got the brilliant idea to match it up against some of my other go-to long lasting lip colors. So, I went to my overflowing stash and starting pulling all of my long lasting colors. I had so many that I had to pull it down to my favorite 7 plus LipSense.  After swatching them on my arm, I went on my way. I figured a full day of yard work, cooking and cleaning would be pretty accurate with all the things I do with my lips throughout the day. Eating, drinking, chewing gum, yapping away!  As you can see, there way a lot of wear after 8 hours. BUT not too bad for 8 hours of crazy wear! Check that out!! As you can see, the LipSense is going strong! NYX is also going super strong. NARS was a sad burnout after about 3 hours, but I still love that color. Reapply often, I guess? After a full 24 hours- including a goodnights sleep- the above results were wh...

February Ipsy... Saying Goodbye to Ipsy

Image
**Bought It** This is my last Ipsy bag and I'm feeling kind of sad and kind of happy. First, of course, I am going to be sad to say goodbye to any steady flow of beauty products. This relationship just had to end. Ipsy was killing me with a stream of crap eyeliners every month. I know, I know... you are saying this is all about eyeliners? Yes! Several months in a row, I would tweet, status, snapchat, insta, blog, everything to tell them to stop with the liners. I was just sick of getting a hit or miss and not liking what I got consistently. So, I had to say goodbye!   Briogeo Roscara Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Creme While I have not had a chance to use this product yet, I think it's super important to keep an arsenal of hair products on hand. I love trying different hair  treatments because I abuse the crap out of my hair so I have to love it as much as I can. I have tried a couple different Briogeo products and I have liked them all. Even when I am not...

Ipsy December Bag... Check Out What I Got!

Image
**Affiliate Link** Ok, you are sooo getting it spot on Ipsy ! For real, the last couple of bags have been so awesome that it's not even funny! This month we got great products and a super cute bag that doubles has a sassy pink clutch.  Don't forget, if you love this you can get your own here .  Nip + Fab- Glycolic Fix Serum This product contains 4% glycol acid which helps improve fine lies and wrinkles. I always have a glycol acid in my bedtime routine. Nip + Fab actually comes from the creators of Rodial- which I totally love. Another plus is that this is made with aloe. If you have any redness or inflammation, this will help.  NYX- Prismatic Shadow Ok. First, lets talk about this color. It is called Bedroom Eyes. It is a deep brownish bronze in all it's metallic goodness. This applies so super smooth and looks just amazing. Fun fact that I just found out  on Ipsy.... NYX was name after a Greek goddess of the night. So awesome.  ...

October Ipsy Glam Bag

Image
**Affiliate Links** This month's Ipsy Glam Bag has a theme of Black Magic. I actually got a lot of nice products in this bag. Plus, the bag itself is super cute. It's perfect for my daughters Halloween makeup.  First up, I have the NYX Vivid Brights in Vivid Gunmetal. This is definitely water resistant and very bright. I swatched it on my arm and it stayed in place for well over 24 hours. If you are looking for long-stay silver makeup, this should be in your shopping basket! The brush is super skinny and helps you apply in thin and thick lines. This is a metallic so you have to make sure, if you are trying to build color, that you use thin coats. If you use thick coats, it will end up streaky. Apply with care! Gimmie Good Face Primer from Trust Fund Beauty is another great product I wouldn't mind getting every month! Like many primers, they tout to blur lines, diminish the appearance of wrinkles and leave your face feeling flawless. This also scented with...

My First Empties Post- See Which I Would Repurchase!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** So, I always say that I want to do an empties post, but either myself or my wonderful husband would pitch my empties bag on garbage day forgetting about my little post plan. This time, I managed to do it! I collected all of the items that I used up completely in the month of September. Now, with that being said, I didn't start using these at the beginning of the month but I have been using them for a while and just happened to finish them this month.  First up, the NYX Set It & Don't Fret It finishing powder. I loooooved this and I am going to rebuy during my next Ulta or Target trip. I did seem to finish this really quickly, but I do use a decent amount to soak up all that shine.  I went through 2 eyeliners. The benefit They're Real push up liner I got a looooong time ago. I only used it once and a while because, honestly, I hated it. It just didn't fit right for me and I had the formula. The Starlooks Pro Luxe Longwea...

4th of July Look and Shennanigans

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Today was more of a relax and recuperate day for my family. We were supposed to travel to the east side of PA to camp out and celebrate, but I've been sick so we were stuck in Pittsburgh. I shouldn't say stuck because there are sooo many things to do. Me, I was stuck. I have an infection which has lead to a series of scary questions from my doctor and now further testing. I'm trying not to freak out, but I did already have a similar issue when I was pregnant with my daughter. So, in the meantime, I am going to try to relax and take it one day at a time. My oldest pretending to drive this front loader.  Squeeeeee GOATS! I want one so bad!! My love bugs in front of firetruck! Mars does not look impressed. #TypicalMarsFace Sitting in the police station. No, we were just visiting. No one actually had to go inside.  Anyway, we celebrated the 4th of July on Sunday instead. The 4th of July represents the independence of the Uni...

NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick

Image
**Bought It** I  am super excited to finally be able to share these with you. I know you all probably already have them, but I finally was able to find them. I found one at Target and the other at Ulta. I love just about everything that I have from NYX and I was super excited about the colors. I am still searching for Amethyst and Sway. I'm not sure how they will look up against my skin tone, but I am sure loving purple lips so I want to try them.  Pink Lust Is a hot pink color. I am loving hot pink, especially for the summer. This is the perfect Barbie pink color. These are touted to be perfectly polished with every swipe and waterproof. The color on this is great, but the application is a little tricky. There is a doe-foot applicator so you have to work quick before it dries and clumps. Sandstorm This is the NYX Suede nude. I liked this nude because it wasn't the color of my lips and I thought it would be contrasting enough to be able to tell that I was wea...
