Halloween ISN'T over- well NOT for my Nails!!

Image
Yes... I know. I am faaaaar behind in my untireds box. I have started a new initiative since football is over :( I am going to blow through my untrieds this month. There is sooooo much polish out there that I neeeeed to have, but I promised myself I would not buy new until my untried box is empty. Now this may mean using some polishes that were made for holidays other than what is currently in season. For example, todays polish is a Halloween polish. Yes, I am only 2 months behind. Not bad, but not good. I also think my rotation is out of whack because I know I have polishes in there that are older than that. I have to go through and do a rough re-sort one of these days. Ok! So here is my first untried of the year! This polish is from LynBDesigns Nightmare Begins Collection. It is described as a "fuchsia, raspberry jelly linear holographic jelly polish" on the description . This is a really pretty builder. It took me about 3 coats to get this opacity, but it is a jelly so...

GOT Polish Challenge- Blue

Image
Blue is NOT a color I own very many of. Funny story is, one of the first polishes my husband ever bought for me was Now You Sea Me by L'Oreal. I remember I was sooo mad at him for spending $8.00 on nail polish! haha. Now, I look back and see $8.00 is not that bad. Although, I now have my drug store hookup, I will not ever spend more than $2 or $3 on a drugstore brand. High ends and indies... well there is no limit on a polish that I really want. Also, bear with me as I explore my new lighting set up. It is soooo hard to get used to because all of my hand poses are soooo awkward now and it's driving me nuts. I just need to practice a little more. Practice makes PERFECT, right? L'Oreal- Now You Sea Me Wet n' Wild- Saved by the Blue

GOT Challenge- Pink

Image
For the first challenge of this program, I decided to use my oldest pinks. Literally, these 2 I have owned the longest out of the the million pinks I own! I also think I have used them maybe once or twice so it was nostalgic pulling them back out. I did a simple dot curve design on my nails with the accent full of dots. Enjoy and be sure to give the other ladies some love, as well!! Sally Hansen- Ice Coffee Funky Fingers- Taffy Town

Nail Art for Nubs

Yes... I am back. It's been a couple weeks since I have participated and I am back on track. I have finally made a schedule for all my challenges, un-useds and reviews. We shall see how long it lasts, though. For this design I decided to do a taped- french design. I used striping tape on the tips in a criss cross pattern and then just used the striping tape on the middle finger. This design was really easy to do. GOT Challenge

Well... We have done it again!! Well, The Crumpet did it again. I have to credit her for creating all the graphics and ideas for this challenge. So, the gist of this is to use your oldest polish. For example on 1/9 I will be posting a design with my oldest pink I own. It should be one that you already have used. The point is to give love to your older polishes that normally would get used once and then forgot about. All polishes used for the theme day should match that theme. So, for the 9th I am using a couple different pink polishes to make a great pink design. Below, I have posted the rules directly from The Crumpet blog. I hope you all enjoy and play along!! These are the rules from The Crumpet blog THE RULES * the polish you use should be at least one year old * if you haven't been a polishaholic that long, you can use the oldest polishes you have * the polish should be previously used, but if you're stuck, you could free a yearling from Mount Untried (s...

What ColorMeSoCrazy Wears on the First Day of 2014

Image
So.... this is what I am wearing for my NYD mani!! I am sooo excited to be bringing you this first post of 2014 courtesy of a beautiful nude/ light pink gradient. I used these four colors to create a fun and elegant look! I actually applied the Butter London first to the whole nail. Then I used the Cirque polishes to do the rose gold- Stella to just the tip with the gold- Ice Valley overlapping that. I then used the KBShimmer- I Only Have Ice for You on top of the whole nail. Enjoy and I hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous new year!! I would love to hear some of your new years resolutions. I don't really like to do these in my personal life, because I always seem to make them completely unattainable goals. So... for my blogging life my resolutions are: 1. Continue to maintain steady posting 2. Broaden my scope to all beauty, not just nails 3. Enter some big and fun collaborations 4. Make NFL round up work!!!!
