Image
So, this is rounding out my Holiday Tutorial session for you guys. I hope you have enjoyed it as I have never done a marathon tutorial session like this. I really enjoyed it and hope to do this again. I think that people like seeing tutorials because I am welcoming you to come in a copy my manis!! Tutorials are a little tricky because you have to break down step by step something that I usually don't think about. I just paint and create. So, if you have anything that you would like to see a tutorial on, please feel free to use the form in the contact section to request and I will do my best to recreate. Colors Used: Sinful Colors- Ruby Ruby KBShimmer- Christmas Now OPI- DS Magic Sinful Colors- Flower Girl Sally Hansen- Polar Bear Kiss Nail Art- Silver Medium Loose Star Glitter Step 1 Paint your base color. I decided to go nude and I just used a clear base coat. You are welcome to choose any color you want, but I would suggest going with a light color so you Christmas T...

Snowflake Tutorial

Image
Yes!! Another tutorial just for my lovelies! This one was really hard for me. Before you do this, I recommend you have a really skinny brush or really nice long nail beds :) I used this one from N.Nails for the detail work. I have really really tiny nail beds, so it is extra hard for me to do details. If you have longer nails or nail beds, you may be ok with just a striper brush that comes with the polish. Colors Used: Zoya: Kristen Revlon: Royal Sinful Colors: Snow Me White Step 1: Paint on your base coat color. I did a light blue, Kristen by Zoya and a dark blue, Royal by Revlon to show both. Step 2: Paint 3 lines intersecting on your nails. I used Sinful Colors- Snow Me White with my taped tip brush.  Step 3: Add a v-shape on top of of each of the lines you made. This gets tricky on those small nails, so make sure you use your thin stiper.  Snowflake Pattern #2 Step 1: Apply your base color. I used the same light blue and dark blue as in...

Poinsettia Tutorial

Image
Today, I have a poinsettia tutorial for you all. As part of my 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge, I decided to add tutorials in wherever I can. Since they are all Christmas related, we are good to go. For this tutorial I used the following colors: China Glaze- With Love Sinful Colors- San Fransisco Sinful Colors- Snow Me White Maybelline- Onyx Rush Nostalgic Nail Lacquer- Duckie 1. First I applied my base colors. I chose to do red, the China Glaze, on all of my fingers except the ring which will be my accent finger. 2. Next I started to create the actual flower part of the plant. I made a couple strokes with a thin brush. I started with kind of a star shaped pattern and filled it in. It looks a little bumpy in the pictures. I did some of this to add a little depth and texture so then when I add the detail, it will be easier. You can skip this and smooth them out if you want. 3. Next I added the leaves. I used the Sinful Colors- San Fransisco and Nostalgic Nail La...

12 Days of Christmas Lights!

Image
Ok folks... today for you I have a tutorial and my nail art for Sunday. Since I am loyal to my Steelers Sunday, I decided to push this off until today! I did the simple, usual lights mani that EVERYONE does! I recreated in ColorMeSoCrazy style, so the tutorial is the way that I did this. Enjoy and don't laugh at my first attempt at christmas lights! 1. First put on a base color. I chose L'Oreal Greycian Goddess. 2. Next use a sponge to do a gradient. Yes, I know my nail pic is blurry, but I really wanted you to see the what the sponge looks like because that is the important part. I literally just put a stripe of L'Oreal Now you Sea Me and then a stripe of KOH Cloudy on the top of the sponge. I dabbed it with the white towards the tip of my nail. Once I dapped until I got the color I liked, I stopped. The gradient does not need to be perfect because you are putting art over it. 3. Next, I used my black striping polish by Sinful Colors to make the curvy line fo...

12 Days of Christmas Challenge- Glitter

Image
For the 3rd challenge on the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge is Glitter. I decided to use (and sneak peek for you) Shirley Ann Nail Lacquer as my glitter. It is the perfect mix of holiday colors. I did a little gradient tip on top of green and red. I originally wanted to do a glitter bomb, but I want to save those for my NYE manis. Bling and blang!! So for this, I just did my base color. I then added the glitter by blotting it at the top (or the bottom, depending on where my gradient starts). I slowly pulled it down (or up) to thin out the blot. Top it with some thick top coat and it looks great!! Enjoy! Shirley Ann Nail Lacquer- Rudolph Ralphed Revlon- Saucy Sinful Colors- San Francisco

Day 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Challenge

Yes! As many of you saw my post earlier about the great challenge I started. I am playing catch up so, I started with the full post for day 2! The theme for this was green. I decided to do some vertical stripes for this one. I then decided to add a little jelly to it. So..... I redid them with Nostalgic Nail Lacquer underneath Sinful Colors San Francisco. This worked out greeeaaattt! The Sinful was just sheer enough to pick up the glitter in the Nosty. I also have it under the striped accent nails. So, if you look carefully you can see it between the lines. Stay tuned for Day 3 which is on the 6th and it's GLITTER!! Wait for the bomb I will have!!
