Image
I hope you have enjoyed my St. Patricks Day Treats today. I am going to leave you with these for tonight. I would love to see what you can do with them. You can even save them for next year! So for this tutorial, I will show you how to do a leprechaun hat, four leaf clover, and a pot of gold. THE LEPRECHAUN HAT 1. Choose your base color. I am going to do green :)  2. Make a rectangle 3. Make another smaller rectangle on the bottom of the first   4. Add your gold buckle. I just used a regular striper.  Colors Used: NYC- Highline Green Wet n Wild- Ebony Hates Chris Sinful Colors- Flower Girl FOUR LEAF CLOVER 1. Paint your nail a base color. I used a light green 2. Next draw a starburst (of sorts) with 8 ends 3. You are going to use those ends as the base of each leaf. For the tips of the leaf, you want to make a heart shape. So kind of make 4 little tiny hearts on those 8 ends. 4. Fill in your tiny hearts. 5. M...

So along with any other holiday, I have to bring you a tutorial. I used to loooove St. Patricks Day when I was working at Finnigans, but since then I have been kind of blagh about it. I miss them all more than ever. Hopefully we will be able to all get together again soon, but for now I can always smile thinking about the times I have had. Easy Peasy, Lovey Dovey- Heart Nails

Image
For these days leading up to the official day of love, I have decided to give you all a little bit of EASY to pamper yourself and to MAKE YOU PRETTY! That is always my goal, "make me pretty". I want to explain this a little because it's not the pretty that you see on TV or in the magazines, it's the pretty that you see when you look in the mirror. I have struggled with seeing myself in anything but a negative light when I looked in the mirror. Blogging has helped me through this. Other ladies in the community encouraging me to keep going and complimenting me. So... my challenge to you is to do things for yourself. Do things for yourself and say "MAKE ME PRETTY" when you're doing them. My goal in bringing you tutorials and products reviews are to show you the things out there are that don't cost thousands of dollars and don't require diets or surgery, but only require a little "me time" So.... check my #makemepretty hastags to see how ...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative: Inspired by a Tutorial

So during my extensive google searches on Nail Art Tutorials, I came across this Distressed Nail Art Tutorial from Chalkboard Nails . I love Chalkboard Nails . She was one of the first blogs I started following and one of the reasons why I keep doing what I am doing. She has some of the most gorgeous swatches and nail art I have ever seen!! Anyway, here is what I did with her tutorial. It is nothing close to the greatness of her original, but I tried. Right?!? Colors Used: Finger Paints: Lavender Highlight Sinful Colors- Daredevil Maybelline- Bold Gold Revlon- Royal Funky Fingers- Bizerk Turq Wet n' Wild- Ebony Hates Chris

Snowflake Tutorial

Yes!! Another tutorial just for my lovelies! This one was really hard for me. Before you do this, I recommend you have a really skinny brush or really nice long nail beds :) I used this one from N.Nails for the detail work. I have really really tiny nail beds, so it is extra hard for me to do details. If you have longer nails or nail beds, you may be ok with just a striper brush that comes with the polish. Colors Used: Zoya: Kristen Revlon: Royal Sinful Colors: Snow Me White Step 1: Paint on your base coat color. I did a light blue, Kristen by Zoya and a dark blue, Royal by Revlon to show both. Step 2: Paint 3 lines intersecting on your nails. I used Sinful Colors- Snow Me White with my taped tip brush.  Step 3: Add a v-shape on top of of each of the lines you made. This gets tricky on those small nails, so make sure you use your thin stiper.  Snowflake Pattern #2 Step 1: Apply your base color. I used the same light blue and dark blue as in...
