Color Me So Crazy

This is the last post of the Pastel Challenge through the Nail Challenge Collaborative group. This is so bittersweet to me because as I do love spring colors, I hate them on my nails. I am so glad to be done with pastels. I absolutely loved seeing the others girls ideas and I am still so honored to be part of this group, but blech I do not like light colors. It was just announced that next month is stamping! I am pretty excited because I will be able to hone in on my stamping techniques. I can tell you that it has gotten 50000 times better since I first started, but I am no where near the skill of some of the other girls. So enjoy this last pastel! So I decided to do a sponge pastel because I haven't been able to use my random bag of cosmetics sponges for a mani for quite some time. The last time I sponged was on Halloween for my Lindsey Lohan costume. Anyway, I like doing this and my technique that I engineered came back fairly quickly. I sponged the colors and then once I was done, I went back and re-sponged the areas that were light or missing color. This is also the third installment of my pastel art for the Nail Challenge Collaborative group that I participate in! I also must say that I absolutely love Kristen as a pastel!! So I have also been playing around with different lighting settings. The picture above I used a different light setting. I think it's too harsh for me. I put 2 comparison pics below. Here we are with my 2nd post for Pastel Month from the Nail Challenge Challenge already. Today is a special day for us since it is the 1 year anniversary for this challenge group! I love the creativeness that comes from the girls in this group. Their designs get better and better which inspires me to get better! Now I must say this post is not my best. I hurt my back at work the other day and I have been taking muscle relaxers. Let me tell you. My whole perception of depth, matching, beauty is very skewed under the influence of this medication. I redid this mani about 5 times before I realized, this is the best it's going to be. Happy Spring my Lovlies!! I hope you are all enjoying your end of this Lenten season celebrations and libations!! I know I will be enjoying a burger, fries and sweets this week!!! Amen to me for having the inner strength to give these up for 40 days and 40 nights. Anyway... I did this little stamping mani for a springy look. I am just getting warmed up and use to this pastel look so I just kept it simple with flowers. Pastels are hot for this spring and I like them. I like them even more when they are matted out. I just love a matte pastel... Almost as much as dark and vampy. Strange huh?!? Anyway, I hope you all have a beautiful day!!
