Rimmel London- Plums Galore!

Image
**Press Sample** On this lovely day, I get to show off some vampy lips brought to you by Rimmel London. I am so excited for this vampy season. It is my favorite shades- yes- it- all the vampy colors! First up, I have Midnight. This is a deep, vampy red matte color that is just perfect for the winter. I loooooove this color and I am so happy to have added such a deep, dark matte to my collection. I do want to talk about the formula a little, but I'll save it to the end because I think it's that important! Plum this show pulls more of a deep, bright crimson on me. It does show of a deeper red in the tube, but once in true light, it does show as a brighter red. Every needs a true red matte and this one hits the nail on the head with that color. Overall, I love these colors but the application is a little tricky; as most matte colors are. Mattes should be used on primed lips. This means using a scrub and moisturizing them. I did notice the wear on these colors we...

How Does LipSense Hold Up Against Others?

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I got the opportunity to try out some LipSense products a couple of months ago and I got the brilliant idea to match it up against some of my other go-to long lasting lip colors. So, I went to my overflowing stash and starting pulling all of my long lasting colors. I had so many that I had to pull it down to my favorite 7 plus LipSense.  After swatching them on my arm, I went on my way. I figured a full day of yard work, cooking and cleaning would be pretty accurate with all the things I do with my lips throughout the day. Eating, drinking, chewing gum, yapping away!  As you can see, there way a lot of wear after 8 hours. BUT not too bad for 8 hours of crazy wear! Check that out!! As you can see, the LipSense is going strong! NYX is also going super strong. NARS was a sad burnout after about 3 hours, but I still love that color. Reapply often, I guess? After a full 24 hours- including a goodnights sleep- the above results were wh...

Rimmel London Magnifi'Eyes Shadow Palette

Image
**Press Sample** Hello All!! I am back after a much needed vacation and I have something so great to show you. I actually brought this on vacation with me and used it on the bride!! Yes!! Stay tuned.... My brother got married and I used this awesome 12-color palette on the bride. It is so diverse and has so many great colors that I just love. There are three different palettes available and I am showing off #002.  As you can see, they are all shimmer colors. They are all very smooth and apply very nicely, as well. There is a little fallout, but enough to manage by a simple brush tap. The thing I love most about this palette is the blendable color selection. The combinations are really endless. The really great thing about this is that it retails for just under $8! Totally worth it!! Overall, I really liked this palette. I have added it to my everyday makeup use because it's so versatile. If I feel like doing a full on look, I can use so many colors to make a deep...

RIMMEL LONDON THE ONLY 1 MATTE LIPSTICK

Image
**Press Samples** Rimmel Lodon has a whole new set of my favorite finish of makeup. The Only 1 Matte Lipstick is an all-in-one matte lipstick that gives you a long-lasting, moisturizing color. It gives you all day color without drying out your kissers. The specie formula is made up of emollient oil and a liquid polymer to give that comfortable, all day look. I have three out of the nine colors to show off to you today.  Trendsetter Trendsetter is a nude, leaning tan color. I'm not a huge fan of nudes because they just don't look great on me. This one is a little bit darker so I will rock it. I always feel like I'm just slapping some foundation on my lips when I wear a true nude so I appreciate a swing in a shade lighter or darker.  Call The Shots This a a bright star berry red that is just perfect for this season. I think of this shade as a perfect transition color. It's dark enough for the winter season, but bright enough to bring us into the spring ...

December Empties

Image
December was a busy month for me and I just got this out in the nick of time... well a little late, but still pretty close. These were all of the products that I used this month and if I would buy them again or leave them in the garbage.   First, probably my greatest feat since I have been blogging was finishing 4 mascaras in a month. Well, full disclosure, I didn't start them in the beginning of December but sporadically in the last couple of months. I just happen to finish all of them at the same time- or in the same month. These also all happen to be  Rimmel London  mascaras. I loved the  Retro Glam Scandaleyes  and  Lift Me Up . The other two, I could leave. I actually loved Lift Me Up because it had a light cucumber scent and made my lashes pop!   Paula's Choice Resist Daily Moisturizer . I love, love, loved this! I am definitely buying a new one of these. It is by far my favorite daily moisturizer. It is tinted and so super...

Rimmel The Only 1 Sample Collection Swatch and Review

Image
**Press Sample**  Rimmel London has some fantastic new lipsticks out. This is an all-in-one bullet lipstick that promises color, moisture and staying power. There are currently 12 shades available and they can be found at your major drug and super stores. The packaging is very slick and classy. It also has a color band around the bottom so you can check what you are wearing without having to take off the lid.  One Of A Kind They all have a fruity scent to them that smells soooo good. I will say that if you have a sensitivity to smells, you may want to take a whiff before you buy. The scent is quite strong.   Under My Spell I did have a little issue with the application. It was a little slippery when first applied, but once it dried it was very creamy and soft. It did feather slightly, but the weird thing is once it dried, it stayed in place for quite a long time. The one thing that I must say is it applied really nicely without any pulling since it was so s...

Beauty Blender VS. Brush Application.. Show Time!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I don't know about you, but I use both of these tools interchangeably on a daily basis when I apply my makeup. Do I have a preference? It depends on what I'm using the tools for on that particular day. Lets see which one blends out liquid foundation better!! First up,  I have two brushes that I use for foundation. A flat top fluffy brush (similar to the Sigma F80) and a flat foundation brush (similar to the Sigma F60). One is from BH Cosmetics and I have no idea where I got the other one. I want to say Sephora, but yeah... I don't remember.  Next up is the Beauty Blender. This is actually the 3D Classic Blender from Ricky's NYC. I got it in my Ipsy bag and was gifted another one from my sister because she doesn't know how to use it. Win for me!! On the left, it is wet and fully " inflated "; on the right is my old one that is dry. I always use mine wet because it blends easier and doesn't soak up the product....
