Image
**Press Samples** I am so excited to bring you this beautiful collection of office naughty and neutral colors. There are 8 all together and they will bring a certain sense of sass to your work day. They are currently available on KBShimmer.com for $9.25 each. Take a peek at each of them and let me know what you think! Supplies Party Supplies Party is a creme color with metallic and holo sparkle- which is called Birthstone finish. I actually used 2 coats on this to pull together a full opaque finish. I love the silver glitter up against the cream color. It makes such a great color finish.  Staple Relationship This deep gray polish is a perfect compliment to a office supplies obsession. It is scattered with silvery flakes and a holo sparkle. I would love the matte this one out to see what it looks like with a flat finish. I used 2 coats with this color to make for an even application.  Makin' Copies This pale white holo is gorgeous in the lig...

Representing MY Steeler Pride

Image
**May Contain Press Samples**  Today is a very important day in Pittsburgh Pa because it is the day that the Steelers put a whooping on the New England Patriots and then we move on to the SUPERBOWL!! I really hope the Steelers make it to the bowl because A) I want to have a party and B) the Steelers are awesome so they need another ring!!  I did a little mani to help cheer on my black and gold boys. I used a whole bunch of my favorite Pittsburgh themed polishes to create this Steel town pride look. I went for a crazy skittle so I could squish a little of everything in my look.   I'm super pumped about the game! I have my nails done, my menu planned, and my outfit on- including my knee-high socks. Now all we need is m boys to get their job done. As most Mondays go in the city of Pittsburgh, it's a 50-50 on how the mood will be. Either gloomy and sad or upbeat and happy! Here we gooooooo   Colors Used: KBShimmer- A Hint of Manila ILNP- So Gh...

Zoya Loves KBShimmer

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Today, I am just showing off one of my favorite wear-to-work looks. It is a combo of the best plums I have. I like to wear something neutral and then just a little bit of sass for the work week. It keeps it professional, but still interesting.  Fig-Get About It is from the Fall 2015 Collection and it has stayed front row for me. I just love all of my purples, and this happens to my favorite purple holo. KBShimmer makes a mean holo! Mary is from the new Natural 3 Collection from Zoya. I will be showing you all of these beauties later, but this is one gorgeous collection and so perfect for work! Colors Used: Zoya- Mary KBShimmer- Fig-Get About It

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents THE 80s!!!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** The ladies of NCC are back with a fresh theme! I mean who doesn't love the 80s? I sure did! I was still young in the 80s, but I loved wearing the bright outfits and such when I was young. Soooo many great things came out of the 80s. Neons, Inspector Gadget, Reading Rainbow, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, blue mascara, chucks, big hair, Jordache Jeans, Swatch Watches, School House Rocks, Transformers, should I go on?? Lol.... Anyways, you get the point! 80s= greatness.  For the first look, I decided to go all out. All those bright neons that I love so much!! I did a totally rad geometric look. Get it... Totally Rad?! Anyway, I think I have to brush up on my 80s designs because this one leans a little towards tribal. I still love the colors. Now, to plan for the next one. We are supposed to do 4 designs a month and I have been falling short. This month and for the remainder, I am going to try my hardest to complete each design challenge. So, if you ha...

My Week Long Beach Nails

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Whoop!! I'm on vacation and I'm lovin it! So, I did these nails before I actually left and CONFESSION TIME: I changed my polish before I left for something that is easier to maintain on vacation. If you really want to see what's on my nails during this week, check it on Snapchat----> Szizzy12184 For the top two looks, I used the following polishes. I then added a topper to my middle finger and pinky finger just for some more swag!! Color Used: KBShimmer- How Low Can You Flamingo MidWest Lacquer- Secret Heart I then added: Jindie Nails- Sour Skittle Jindie Nails- Hot Pink Floyd As you can see, I added a little seashell charm on my ring finger and then some iridescent stars on my pointer finger. I love both of the looks and I actually wish I would have done a look with a matte top coat, too. The MidWest Lacquer (on my ring finger) is a thermal so I have been playing with that for the last couple of days. Warm is...

Want a Preview of the Summer 2016 Collection from KBShimmer? I've Got It!

Image
**Press Samples**   I am soooo excited to share a part of this NEW KBShimmer Summer 2016 Collection. I love KBShimmer and I think all of the polishes (and other goodies) that they pump are are awesome. They are one of my favorite indie brands, too.   First up in the little sneak peek collection is How Low Can You Flamingo?. This is a hot pink creme that just screams summer. It is so closed to neon, but it's still muted.  This polish goes on sooo buttery smooth and is opaque in just one coat. Yes, ONE COAT! This was such a fun polish to play with, too. I currently have this on my toes and it's been so fun and I have even gotten a few compliments on the shade. If you are interested in loving this color as much as I am, you can check it out here and purchase it for only $9.25. Yes, it does look a little lighter in my photos then it really is, but you know what those neons do to our cameras. Next up is Mai Tai One On . This is a gorgeous soft y...
