Representing MY Steeler Pride

Image
**May Contain Press Samples**  Today is a very important day in Pittsburgh Pa because it is the day that the Steelers put a whooping on the New England Patriots and then we move on to the SUPERBOWL!! I really hope the Steelers make it to the bowl because A) I want to have a party and B) the Steelers are awesome so they need another ring!!  I did a little mani to help cheer on my black and gold boys. I used a whole bunch of my favorite Pittsburgh themed polishes to create this Steel town pride look. I went for a crazy skittle so I could squish a little of everything in my look.   I'm super pumped about the game! I have my nails done, my menu planned, and my outfit on- including my knee-high socks. Now all we need is m boys to get their job done. As most Mondays go in the city of Pittsburgh, it's a 50-50 on how the mood will be. Either gloomy and sad or upbeat and happy! Here we gooooooo   Colors Used: KBShimmer- A Hint of Manila ILNP- So Gh...

It's MY Birthday Party!!!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Today is a fantastic day in Pittsburgh! Myself and my bestie Amy are having a combo birthday party. We named it Team 64 Birthday Pageant and it's going to be awwwwesommmme! We are having a tailgate with all of our friends followed by a fantastic Pirates baseball game and then wherever the night leads us after that.  The Pittsburgh Pirates, or Buccos, as we call them have the same color theme as the rest of our great city's sports- Black and Gold (or yellow). I decided to go with a legitimate black and gold theme with my nails. I did a little tribal theme with the help of some nail decals.  You know I've been loving the gold and just about any other color combo. So, of course this is going to be on my love list! Colors Used: Man Glaze- #Matte is Murder Cirque- Chrysopoeia KB Shimmer- Sun & Games

Lacquer by Lissa Spring 2014 Collection

Image
**Press Sample** I am bringing a brand new to me Indie Brand- Lacquer by Lissa. I have know Lacquer by Lissa for quite some time and I am not sure why I have not purchased anything from her until now. You all know how much I love Pittsburgh and all of my sports here. I do the NFL roundup, I do nails for the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers and I just bleed black and gold. Well, Lacquer by Lissa happens to have a polish called Yinzer that I recently added to my collection. You guessed it, it's a Pittsburgh polish. I am a huge advocate for my local ladies and I think (not only because she is from Pittsburgh, but because her polishes are AWESOME) that you should check her out. I was given the amazing opportunity to review and swatch her Spring 2014 collection.   Here's some good details about the shop and some ways that you will NEED to follow her by. She has been starting to do lots of fun things like giveaways and discount codes, so get on it: Shop Facebook Now, on to ...

Nail Art for Nubs

Image
So I have a special design for this weeks Nail Art for Nubs link up. Today is the season opener for our Pittsburgh Pirates. They have been killing it lately which was not so much the case a couple years ago. They were the ones getting killed. Today, I have done my traditional opening day skittle. I do this on the first day of my Pittsburgh sports. As many of you know, this is the 2nd year that I have been out of the opening day bar business, so it's extra hard for me to get motivated. However, I have promised myself that I will actually go to a game this year. Not just parking lot tailgating, but actually enter the stadium. So for the design, I did it all! Dots, stripes, a baseball, waterfall and some glitter called YINZER! This really gets me pumped for my favorite time of the year-- FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!! I do an NFL roundup and if you are interested in joining, stay tuned to my FB page as I post the link up address and code there. Colors used: Sinf...
