Happy 4th of July America!!

Image
Since I spammed you all with my designs from the last couple of days, I am going to keep this short and sweet!! This is the actual design I am wearing today. I was going to go really simple, but what is a holiday without some glitz??   For this simple design I used some glitter, stamping and some festive colors. It was super simple and looks super awesome! Colors Used: Orly- Sweet Peacock Orly- Red Carpet Colors Club- Over the Moon L.A. Girl- Celebrate OPI- Gettin' Miss Piggy With It ellagee- Festival of Lights JustRica- Whiteout YouPolish- Sexy M.F.   I did the Red Carpet as a base and the Gettin' Miss Piggy With It on top. It is a great combo and it WILL make a reappearance for #RedCoatTuesdays.  I used the Sweet Peacock under Festival of Lights. It's a very multi-holiday glitter.  I then stamped with the color Club and YouPolish on my middle two fingers. I got the YouPolish as a OOAK custom. There is nothing ...

And yet more Red, White and Blue

For this quick and easy design, I stamped a couple patriotic designs and glittered the heck out of my ring finger. I really like the USA colors of red, blue and white. I think they work really well complimenting each other and just look so sharp. Go USA!! I stamped a USA star on my index finger and topped it with Finger Paints flakie. For my middle finger, I stamped stars in both red and blue. For my ring finger, I glittered the heck out of it with LA Girl- Celebrate, large loose star glitter and the Finger Paints flakie. For my pinkie, I stamped a star burst in red and then stamped silver stars on top.  Colors Used: Orly- Star Spangled Orly- Sweet Peacock Revlon- Sequin L.A. Girl- Celebrate Rica- Whiteout Finger Paints- Twisted

For this design I wanted to do American flags and use all different mediums. Last year, I did a sugar spun flag, so I wanted to expand a little and see what other technique I could use to create a flag. I used striping tape to make a nice crisp striped design on my index finger. Next, I did my original sugar spun flag on my middle finger. For my ring finger, I did a dot design and finally for my pinkie I did a water marble.  My pinkie was IMPOSSIBLE to perfect and I wanted to back out as soon as I started. It was super difficult to get the "stars" area defined. Striping tape, sugar spun and dots were all super easy to do, but the water marbling- what was I thinking?  Anyway, what do you think of my multi-medium flag design?? Colors Used: Sinful Colors- Ruby Ruby Revlon- Royal Sinful Colors- Snow Me White

American Nails Part 1

**gifted** I have been rocking out the USA nails lately and I am excited to show you another really simple design. I recently participated in a USA/ 4th of July swap and I got a huuuuge box full of goodies!! In that box was some awesome polishes. I guess I tried to put as many as I possibly could at one time! I got 4 out of 8 so that was pretty good. I used repeating red and blue pattern and then topped the pointer and middle with the SH Red, White and Blue and the ring and pinkie with Beach Ball. Beach Ball Red, White and Blue Do you have plans for 4th of July nails?? I am planning on hopefully doing one more design to share with you. I am looking to go big!! Water marble, stamping, sparkles. BIG TIME!! Colors Used: Julep-Monaco Julep-Myriam Sally Hansen Color Frenzy- Red, White and Blue Sally Hansen- Beach Ball

After a crraaaazzzy week, I finally got to do this design. This week I had all of my family and my husbands family in for my daughters dance recital. It was nuts to say the least.  Anyway, the design I did this week was to reflect the confusion that I think is arising from good and evil. I think that now Ali is back all hell is going to break loose again. While the girls really missed her and were happy when she came back, I think that she is just causing more trouble. So, my design represents the intermingling and confusion of the good side (white) and dark side (black). Predictions and Questions: Is Ali faking it?? Even though she has been on the show for quite some time, I still can't get a grasp on her. We all know she is quite the manipulator and sometimes I feel as if she is not genuine about the things she says and does. What is up with this new Sydney girl?? She just busted in the last episode and I have a feeling she is around to stay for a...

This week for PLL I have soooo many questions!! "Surfing the Aftershocks" is the title and boy, it's going to be just that. With the continuation of Alis lies, Mrs D being found and more it's going to be a wild ride for quite a while. First, let's start with the makeup I did this week for the linkup. I decided to do a n ombre with a layered, very dark dotticure. Colors Used: Zoya- Quinn Zoya- Carmen Maybelline- Dressed to Kill NOW... WTF?!?! I really did not expect Mrs D to be dead. I am in total shock that they found her. with that being said, what is Jason doing?? He is still being shady as all hell and now finding Mrs D is not an excuse. Speaking of shady, where did that dog come from? Mrs D could not have ordered it because she was already dead? Is it A? Why did Ali lie about being kidnapped? The first thing I thought was, they are going to try to find the person that took her. How stupid is she? I watch enough 48 Hours Mystery to kno...

GOT Polish Thursday presents RED

Image
This week has really been a RED week for me. First, I did the #RedThumb2Stop Pledge  on Sunday. It was my pledge to not text, email, status check, etc. when driving. On Tuesday, it was the premiere of Pretty Little Liars and I did my #RedCoatTuesday design.  I loooove my reds and I have recently started expanding my Reds collection since I started the #RedCoatTuesday link up. I am obsessed with Pretty Little Liars and I am super happy that I started this link up. For this simple design, I used L'Oreal Jolly Lolly and Revlon Ruby Ribbon. I used both of these to make a jelly sandwich.  For my ring and pinkie finger, I just jellied the Jolly Lolly right over the Ruby Ribbon. I used 1 coat of the Jolly over 1 coat of the Ruby over 1 coat of the Jolly. For my middle and index, I did a dot dice design with the Ruby Ribbon over the Jolly Lolly. In real life, the depth is awesome.
