December Empties

Image
December was a busy month for me and I just got this out in the nick of time... well a little late, but still pretty close. These were all of the products that I used this month and if I would buy them again or leave them in the garbage.   First, probably my greatest feat since I have been blogging was finishing 4 mascaras in a month. Well, full disclosure, I didn't start them in the beginning of December but sporadically in the last couple of months. I just happen to finish all of them at the same time- or in the same month. These also all happen to be  Rimmel London  mascaras. I loved the  Retro Glam Scandaleyes  and  Lift Me Up . The other two, I could leave. I actually loved Lift Me Up because it had a light cucumber scent and made my lashes pop!   Paula's Choice Resist Daily Moisturizer . I love, love, loved this! I am definitely buying a new one of these. It is by far my favorite daily moisturizer. It is tinted and so super...

Fall Foliage Nails

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I decided to throw out some Fall inspirations on my nails. I have three major trees in my yard and they let down about three times. That means that I have a ton of leaf cleanup to do during the duration of the Fall. I hate doing it, but it is great exercise.  I used a simple leaf stamp that I picked up at Big Lots (yes, I did say Big Lots). I used a couple different colors and used different pressures to pick up the color to put a little texture on the leaf. I haven't played with my stamps in a while, so I am glad that I broke this out.  Colors Used: Cosmetic Arts- Hunter Green Sinful Colors- Let's Meet Butter London- Yummy Mummy Revlon- Hot Chocolate Sally Hansen- Electra-cute

Bright, Fun and Easy Summer Makeup

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I decided to do a look for a simple, sleek and beautiful summer makeup look. I use this look with different colors just about everyday. It's lightweight, easy to use and can be used with multiple combinations of colors. You don't have to use the exact ones I did, but I'm a natural/nude girl during the summer so if you are into those colors, this may work for you. The Pacifica Trio that I received is a perfect 3-in-1 for me. It has a light highlighter, a mid-toned shade and a dark shade that I used as a liner. I do this often during the summer; using a dark shadow to line my lids instead of a pencil or regular liner. It just feels lighter and sometimes even stays better.   You can swap out any colors to do the liner and all over lid look. Sometimes, during the summer months, I use a bright blue liner with a gold lid. Another one of my favorite combinations is a purple shadow liner with and pearl all over lid.  Products Use...

Image
Well ladies and gents, I have made it yet another month and right in time yet again!! I did not brave a freehand BUT I did attempt one. Fail, yes I did. I can say that I did attempt one, though.  This one, again, I used waterslides. I also did a cute little accent heart. Yes, I know, they are upside down BUT I'll rock the heck out of them anyway. I love the Revlon- Sequin under the waterslides. They made a really great background.   I am kind of glad this months theme is over and I am supppper excited about next months theme. It was just announced! You are going to be "rocked" by it! Anyone want to take any guesses on what it is by that little hint there? Colors Used: Revlon- Sequin Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer- She's Electricity KB Shimmer- I Only Have Ice for You

#RedCoatTuesday with Shades of RED

Image
ny**Bought It** Ok, so last week we started to heat up a little bit more. I am not as bored as I was the previous week but I'm still not happy about the reoccurring story line. I'm sure those ladies won't leave us hanging and they are just starting to warm up BUT I wish they would warm up a little faster.... I tried to do a chevron design using a couple different shades of red but they all kind of blended together. You can see them up close but from far away, it just looks like a nice red mani... lol. Oh well. Next week, I am going to go for some red makeup. Is there anything you want to see? I'm thinking some red lips! The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents PURPLE!!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Today, is is super special day because this is my 4th post for the Nail Challenge Collaborative post and that means that I have completed the entire month before the month is over!! Wahooo for me!! For this design, I used a fan brush and a whole lot of purple metallics and went to town. I love the way this entire design came out.  I used the Cirque as a base and remembered that it dries slightly matte so I decided that I wanted to go with a rough finish with the entire design. I used the rest of the colors and fanned them on with the brush. I think it looks slightly punky and I love it! Colors Used:  Cirque- Baptisia KB Shimmer- Fig-Get About It Revlon- Sequin What do you think of this design? Do you love it?

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents A NEW THEME!!

Image
**Bought It**May Contain Press Samples** We have a new theme this month folks and it's monochromatic!! Yes... so easy for me and I'm ready to go already.  For my first look, I went with a blue mono or only tones of blue. Well, a turquoise actually. I did a gradient blobicure to kick of this theme. I did use a lot of color which I don't think I am going to do next time. I am going to stick with a black and white beauty. Colors Used: L'Oreal- Now You Sea Me Revlon- Cloud Sinful Colors- Why Not   An InLinkz Link-up

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents 3rd Anniversary Surprise

Image
For my final installment, I am doing a recreation of a cloud mani by the Nails for the Sake of Sanity. Next month's theme will be flowers!! I decided to do this one because well April Showers bring May flowers, right?? Well, I guess that is where next months theme is coming from.... Meh. Well, my Birthday is in April and all I want is SUN!! We didn't get much of it in Pennsylvania.   I love doing these cloud manis and I haven't done one in quite some time so when I came across this, I was so excited to recreate it. The only problem is, I didn't have a chrome silver. Gah! I must find a good one. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I tried one, but it was not easy to apply so I used the Sequin instead. Colors Used: Sally Hansen- Gray by Gray Sally Hansen- Costume Glitters L'Oreal- Stroke of Midnight Revlon- Sequin What do you think of this one? Do you think the Revlon Sequin was a good substitution?  Do you have any good silver chrome ...

Holiday Snowflakes Skittle Nails

Image
**Nothing to Disclose** Today's look is a stamping and glitter combination based on snowflakes. This is the first stamping I have done in a loooooong time. Based on that, I need to do more to keep in practice. I promised my self for any gift cards I get, I am buying stamping supplies. I don't need anymore polishes and I don't need anymore accessories, but I do need more stamping supplies. Well, I guess need isn't the right word. I WANT! I want to upgrade. I want a squishy stamper and I want more plates. I have heard so many good things about the squishy stampers and I have been so lazy. So, part of my Blogging Resolution is MORE STAMPING! Anyway, for the most part I like the way these came out. The only complaint I have is the way the middle finger came out. It smeared when I put the top coat on. Otherwise, I love it! The colors really go well together and everything else looks great. I especially love the snowflake glitters. I forgot how fun that polish i...

GOT Polish Challenge Wraps Up with Brown

Image
It is time to say goodbye to Golden Oldie Thursdays, but I promise next week we are starting with something suuuuper fun. It is a combination of some of the past challenges, so get ready!! I decided to use 3 really fun and Fall brown colors for this design. I used different textures with dots and swirls to give it some added depth.  Overall, I really like this design for being all browns.  First, I painted my nail with the Hot Chocolate and then I swirled half of my nail with the Leather loose. I tried to get creative and once it was almost dried I lightly blotted a paper towel on it to create a texture. Well, it didn't work so well. You can kind of see it on some nails. I then divided the two nail polishes with a swirl line of the Park Ave and lined that with dots of the Leather Loose. Colors Used: Revlon- Hot Chocolate Sinful Colors- Leather Loose   NYC New York Color- Park Ave An InLinkz Link-up
