Christmas Tree Nails- How To

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** I have not done a quick tutorial for you guys in so long. I decided to bring it back for one of my favorite, easy holiday designs. It's perfect to dress up any nails and super easy to do! I started with a white base coat on an accent nail. Once my base coat dried, I taped it off. I did a v-shape outline for the edges of the tree. Next I used a skinnier tape to do a criss cross pattern down to the edge of the nail.  Once all of my tape was in place (as you can see it wasn't sticking for me), I added a green color on top of the tape. The area that I was doing my nails in was quite chilly so that is probably why all of my tape was curling. It's kind of important to do your nails in a warmer area so the polish and accessories work well with you.  Once you applied all of your green color, remove the tape. You will be left with a tree looking shape. Now you are ready to decorate!  This is where you get to be creative! You can...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! This is the first SPD mani I have done in a couple of years. I am trying to get back into my creative mode again and nail art is baby steps. I actually did these a couple days ago because I am rocking some champagne and navy blue nails. Why, you ask? Well, my brother is getting married today, I love my SPD manis to be loud and very gold, so I had to skip celebrating on the actual day. Well, hold on, we will celebrate but just not with green nails. For this design, I did a dry marble on my pointer and pinkie nail and then a straight glitter bomb on my ring finger. I did a super abstract dry marble shamrock on my middle finger. Super easy, but excellent for this holiday!  Colors Used: Zoya- Wyatt Zoya- Jace Milani- 510 3D Madam Glam- Spicy Sahara

Alpha Mani Does the Letter M

Image
**Nothing to Disclose** This week, well last week was the letter M for Alpha Mani. I missed it because it was sooo crazy. My husband graduated with his Masters degree and it was Mothers Day so I had family in from out of town. Not to mention I was sick all last week. I am just playing catch up and this one was just too fun to pass up. So you get 2 Alphas this week!! I only have a couple Milani polishes because for me, they have been hit or miss. I actually prefer their makeup over their nail polish. I know... maybe I am still sick. lol! I got both of these in a giant mystery box a couple of years ago and I love them both. The holo is a little sheer, but it's a builder so I love it. The glitter has bars in it and either you are a bar lover or not. I happen to love them. If you can get them all to behave, to look awesome!  For my Maybelline, I just love all of the polishes I own. They always have such great formula and such awesome colors. For being a...

Red Coat Tuesday

Image
So, many of you know that I have been traveling for the last couple weeks and for this weeks #RedCoatTuesday post, I decided to do a compilation to save my sanity from traveling!! I am going to give you some of my favorite looks. They are all linked, so if you are interested in the colors or the design, feel free to click and check out the original posts.  HOLY COW!! How about last weeks episode?? First, Hannah. As I mentioned in last weeks post, she is getting a little too crazy with her drinking. She is at the point where she doesn't care. In the sneak peeks, it shows a little needed intervention going on. I hope that Hannah sticks with it this time. I do not like Hammered Hannah.  Speaking of Hannah, Ashley's creep boyfriend is back in the picture. I do not like Zack and I do not like that he is creeping his way back into the liars lives. March of Crimes is the name of the episode and I think that it will be quite a march.  I really think...

Red Coat Tuesday

Image
This episode is going to be awesome. It's titled "Scream for Me" and it's supposed to be the best of the season. If you have not seen the previews for this week, you are about to get informed. We see that Ali and Hannah make up and potentially Ali moves in with Hannah and her mom. Well, that may get a little sticky. Hannah and Ali have such strong personalities that they just may clash. Speaking of Hannah, WTF is going on with her drinking? She needs to get control of herself. I see Hannah pulling a Spencer really soon. She has been seen on multiple occasions with multiple alcoholic beverages in her hands. Maybe she's practicing for college? Probably not!! Sydney. I must know more. She's so mysterious and has been on the show for several episodes now, yet I have no clue about her except that she's majorly shady. AND... speaking of shady, Aria continues her quest to seek out answers from Radley. From the looks of the previews, she gets busted. I...

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents Skittles

Image
Hey guys... I made it!! This is three out of four of of the monthly challenge! How about that?? I really really really like skittles.    For this design, I wanted to do something a little bit more classic. The original colors were Peony by ellagee, I'd Rather Be With Blue by KBShimmer and HD by Milani. I loved the calm combination of the Peony and the IRBWB mixed with the glitz of HD. It was really a great combo.   I went on to add the delicate stripes on my index and ring to add a little bit more glitz. If that wasn't enough, I added the iridescent stars on my pinky.    What do you think of this color combination?? Do you think the star glitter is going overboard?? I am also super excited to let you know that next month's theme has been picked and it's BLACK AND WHITE. I am pretty excited to see what the creative mind of ColorMeSoCrazy can come up with only using the most primary colors ever!!

Nail Art for Nubs- IT"S MY BIRTHDAY

Image
Whoop whoop!! It's my birthday today! So, what do I have on my nails?!?   Skittles! Of course! Whenever I want to go all out and can't decide what to do, I go for skittles. This week, since it's my birthday I wanted to do something super fancy.    I was going to do a gold and pink combo, but I have been Bold Gold-ing the heck out of my nails lately. So, I went for the silver. I loooooove these!!   I did a silver heart stamp with some of the Aly's stamped with hearts on top for the index finger. Next, I did a simple french with the Revlon on the tip. The ring finger has some of those great sequins on it for some extra bling. My pinky has some simple silver dots.   Colors Used: Aly's Dream Polish- Super Cherry Milani- Silver Revlon- Sequin   For your birthday, do you like to do a special birthday mani? I love to do something sassy every year!    I am in love with this and I hope it stays a while. I als...

Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents Inspired by Art 1

Image
Ok... I caved. I was visiting with my friend from A Little Polish  and she asked me if I was going to participate in this month's theme for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. I originally was not going to because I have had several reviews to complete, 2 other challenges, several giveaways and guests posts. Needless to say, my December was craaaazy. Well being that she is one of my best friends and that she picked this month's theme, I cannot let her down!! So, I am going to give it the ol' college try and just go for it! Recreations are not my thing and every time I try to recreate a look, I always fail. So..... don't laugh, just appreciate my trying efforts. My first Inspired by Art is from Fernando Olivera who painted a piece called (untitled) La Luna. He is a Mexican artist which is contribution towards my guest post for Leesha's Lacquer.  Enjoy! Colors Used: L'Oreal- Jet Set to Paris Milani- 3D Sinful Colors- Citrine Sinful Colors- Cross My Hea...

Lets Go Steelers!!

Image
Yes, it's time for another rendition of Lets Go Steelers. Today I have a fancy Steelers mani. I used a prototype that I bought from Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer as a base and then added some high class, fancy dots in a gold holo polish. The BEGL polish is like a dark gray, purple, black holo. I thought it was more black, but when I matted it there was a lean towards purple. I tried! Just like the Steelers do every week :) Anyway, here is my high class, fancy pantsy Steelers mani!!  Also, heads up that there a lot, I mean a lot of pictures below. They are all pretty, so I am sure you won't mind looking at them, but I did warn you :) With China Glaze Matte Magic Regular topcoat vs Matte topcoat Steelers comparison Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer- PDPD 1.0 Milani- 3D
