Tri-Color Challenge

Image
Hello All!! I managed to get these in on time this week! As many of you know I work in higher education as an Event Planner, so the end of the year is super crazy for me. Graduation is creeping up quickly and everyone, I mean EVERYONE, does an "end of the year" party. I made it through with only working 98 hours in 2 weeks. CRAZY?!? I know!!! So I have been slowly working at getting my creative juices back as every brain juice I had drained from last weeks shenanigans. I hope you enjoy my french dots! Pastel Challenge- Final Post

Image
This is the last post of the Pastel Challenge through the Nail Challenge Collaborative group. This is so bittersweet to me because as I do love spring colors, I hate them on my nails. I am so glad to be done with pastels. I absolutely loved seeing the others girls ideas and I am still so honored to be part of this group, but blech I do not like light colors. It was just announced that next month is stamping! I am pretty excited because I will be able to hone in on my stamping techniques. I can tell you that it has gotten 50000 times better since I first started, but I am no where near the skill of some of the other girls. So enjoy this last pastel! Tri-Color Challenge- April

Image
I am soooo late for this post, but my week has been crazy!!! Like really crazy! I managed to do this mani over a 3 day period and then finally photograph them at work. Sorry about the crazy quality, but again I was at work. I decided to do the grunge-scrape look for this week. I have done this look several times, but with these colors, it looks great! I also through in the random zebra stripe on the thumb. I did a workshop on Thursday with about 30ish girls on stress reduction techniques. Of course my contribution was- manis!! I will throw up a post on that a little bit later, but i was using one of my fingers to show different techniques that they could do with household items and some tricks to do. The girls loved it and it was totally worth waiting an extra day to put up this post. China Glaze-Turned Up Turquoise  Essie- Bachelorette Bash   Orly- Truly Tangerine

APD and GPhiB!

So last week was Greek Week here on campus. Many of you know that I am the advisor for Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and I love them dearly. I recently got invited to join Gamma Phi Beta sorority. I am thrilled! I absolutely love the group of girls and I have 2 alumnae that I am very close with. Now that I have to share my hand with 2 groups, I decided to an homage to both groups. Alpha Phi Delta was on my left hand with some water marbling and their letters along with some dotting. For my Gamma Phi Beta design I used the sorority colors along with the colors of their sorority flower. I also did the dot design on the pinky and thumb. Nail Nation 3000- Cupids Arrow

Image
I won this beauty from a giveaway a while ago and I still have not had a chance to try it. I did try try my other NailNation 3000- Eye of Newt- in a previous post. Linked here if you wan to check it out.  I love most of NailNation 3000 colors and I couldn't wait to give this one a try. I have heard that there may sometimes be discrepancies with colors and the way they appear on the website differing from the way they are in person. I have not bought a polish from NailNation yet, but I will have to judge that for myself when I do. As far as this color goes, I love it! It was a great application and the outcome is beautiful. I have had this same polish on for (gasp) 3 days now and I have not had any wear or tear. As you can see a couple pictures down, there is a slight glitter sink, but a good shake will fix that right up. I really do not mind indies that have a glitter sinking slightly because mostly they have great quality. Just having to give the polish an extra shake will not rui...
