My Skin has Gone CRAZY!
**May Contain Press Samples**
So, this is a little bit a personal post for me and I really needed to write about my last couple of weeks and my crazy skin. For those of you who don't know, I suffer from horrible migraines. I take daily maintenance medication which I have been having to readjust because some of them haven't been working. Since adding one of them my face has been crazy!! That combined with sweaty workouts, an extremely stressful career, two busy kids and my sister getting married in a month my life is just calling for my face to do this to me.

I set out to all of my girls in the Beauty Blog Coalition with my "HALLLLLPPPP" call. I was given so many helpful tips. One of them included a helpful chart that described what may be the cause. It was very similar to the one above. This makes a ton of sense. With all of the medications that I am on to help me get through my days without migraines really have made a mess of my hormones. Now, that I know the cause- it's off to figure out how to balance me back out!
The Issues:
Huge pores
Breakouts around the chin area, jawline and cheek area
Scarring from older breakouts
Blackheads
Uneven skintone
What I Did:
I brought it back to the basics! I needed to exfoliate, tone, dry up and moisturize. I grabbed up a couple of my favorites and have been going to town for about a week now. I have been seeing amazing results and hopefully, I'll be back on track. My ultimate goal is to get off all this crazy medication, love my skin, de-stress and get my face back but for now, this is what I have. This is what I used:
dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
I love this product. It exfoliates my skin in a gentle way that it doesn't tear it apart. It brings my pores back together and helps heal my skin. This includes papain, salicylic acid and rice enzymes as well as green tea, ginkgo and colloidal oatmeal. All the things my face needs.

CVS Tinted Treatment Cream
This was actually recommend to me in one of my beauty groups. This is an excellent spot treatment that I started using on the days that I don't wear makeup. It's like a coverup and treatment in one. It's a pharmacy brand, so it's super easy to find and cheap too!
Borghese Mud Mask

Borghese Mud Mask
I swear by these products! Borghese has such a high quality product and the mud masks go right along with that. They help tighten, dry and cleanse all that excess I have going on around my face. When it's really bad, I use this several times a week.

This is such a rich, non-oily perfection of a product. I love this moisturizer and I am going to use it down to the last drop or dollop. Since I am using all of these drying products, it's super important to continue to moisturize my skin. I don't want to irritate it more than it already is.
So, this is my after a week of trying to kick start my skin picture. I must say there are a lot of factors that contribute to my skin and I think if I can't get rid of it in the next couple of weeks, it is time to see a doctor. I need to really lay off the heavy face makeup on days that I am hitting the gym or make sure to wash it off before I go. This, I think, it a huuuuuge factor (combined with medications).
If you have any suggestions or have a favorite product, please let me know!! I am going crazy with the sudden out of controlness!! I also hope that I may have helped someone out there. Yes, even us beauty blogger go through these times where our skin freaks out.
