Aflac Duck Salon Blog Tour and My Crazy Hair!!
**This post is sponsored by Aflac. I was compensated for writing it, but all opinions are 100 percent mine**
Good thing One Day PaySM is sooo much easier to work with then this mop I have on top! While my hair may be unruly sometimes Aflac policy holders don't have to ever worry about this. When they get sick or hurt, One Day PaySM promises that they get paid in as little as ONE business day!!
So.. I'm not sure if you got a chance to see our little buddy the Aflac Duck in the new salon commercial. He tries his hand at hair styling and falls short. His clients are horrified and one even comments that she believed he was the best in the business. They do agree that while he is horrible at doing hair, he is fantastic at paying claims fast! If you didn't see the entire thing and my description falls short, you can see it here...
Yes... well if you think that's bad, check this out!! My hair is naturally curly AND thick AND color treated AND super unruly! What do you do with that mess? Well... what I do is a lot to tame this beast.I have a couple secrets to share with you about my hair and about Aflac so follow along on this trip through my nest of mess....
First... Aflac is based on the idea that they Process and Pay not Deny and Delay. This is perfect for the new One Day PaySM idea because it gets you back on your feet quicker when you are hurt or sick. That's the last thing you want to worry about. My first tip for my hair is my stylist. I have talked about her on here before but sometimes I just can't handle it on my own or I go too far and I need her to step in for me. It's ok to ask for a little help here and there and it's good to know when. So she is my first secret weapon... A GOOD, TRUSTWORTHY stylist. Find one and stick with them.
It is really important for me to have really great products to use in my hair. I use a lot of heat to get this curly mop straight which is how I wear it most of the time. I rely on my products to work and work really well so that I don't have any damage and that my hair can continue to look fabulous! Much like the hair products I use for my hair, Aflac understands that claims matter and it's important to be there for their policyholders when they need them the most.
My last hair tip for you is slow and steady wins the race...This is unlike One Day PaySM which pays you as quick as possible to get your back on your feet. I actually let my hair air dry over night. This allows as many as my natural oils to stay in my hair and gets the heat off my hair. I skip that hair dryer. Sometimes when I'm in a rush, I do have to use the dryer but I try to avoid it at all costs! In the case of One Day PaySM, rushing is GOOD and in the case of your hair rushing is BAD!
Overall, if a great haircare routine is not part of your life it is definitely worth getting into. Ask your stylist about what is best for your hair as far as products and styling goes to start off with. The same goes for your supplemental insurance. Aflac says if you don't have any, it may be time to ask your employer about it. Unlike regular insurance, supplemental insurance can be used for things like groceries, childcare, rent and parking while you are sick or at the hospital. It's insurance for your daily living. In the United States, Aflac is the leading provider of voluntary insurance at the work site. If you want to learn more about what Aflac has to offer you, you can check out the links below!
