I am so excited to show you the newest (to me) indie
polish. I came across Shirley Ann Nail Lacquer a while ago when I was doing my
Giveaways from Around the Polish World post. A couple weeks ago, while I was
scrolling through my news feed on Facebook, I came across a post asking for
bloggers to review polish for her. I never used her polish before AND you all
know how I like to bring you guys some new products. I signed up and received
my polishes a couple days ago.
Before I blast you with some pics, Shirley Ann Nail Lacquer was soooooo generous to share a coupon code just for YOU!!! OCT2013 is good for 20% off your purchase from now until November 1st. Color- "Pink micro glitter
with small teal stars and lavender holo circle glitter". This has a
clear base, so wearing a base coat of a colored polish is a great idea.
Application- I have 2 coats on each picture. I am sure if you want a more
opaque glitter application, you can throw on a couple extra coats. The circle
glitters were a little difficult to get out, but this is stated under the
description on the Etsy page. I really appreciate this and do not mind as long as I know
it's coming. I had my fishing tool ready since I did
my research before the polishes arrived.
Smell- No unusual smell. Actually quite pleasant for an Indie....
Price- $5.00 for a full size bottle
Overall-Really cute polish. The removal of this polish was also pleasantly easy. I didn't have to scrape the mirco glitter off of my nails. I just let the pre-soaked cotton ball on each finger for about 2 minutes and it slid right now.
Color- "Shades of green, gold, and cream glitter inspired by camouflage". This has a clear base, so wearing a base coat of a colored polish is a great idea. I am pretty sure you could get an opaque polish if you put enough coats on.
Application- I have 2 coats on each picture. This was a really great polish to apply. I did not fish at all for glitter. I didn't even swish the brush at all. Each picture shows just a normal brush dip and then nail application. AWESOME!!
Smell- No unusual smell.
Price- $6.00 for a full size bottle
Overall-I really liked this polish. The application was awesome and I could see using this for a St. Patricks Day glitter topper as well. It would make a cute accent nail!!
Blurred purposely to show glitz of the glitter |
Color- "Beautiful teal creme". This is a really pretty color. It has a shimmer in it and almost dries matte. Which, you all know I am nuts over!!
Application- I have 2 coats on in the pictures. It is a little light with just one coat, so I think two was needed. The application was very smooth and not streaky.
Smell- No unusual smell.
Price- $6.00 for a full size bottle
Overall-This is a great polish. I am actually planning on using it for some nail art with pink dots and gold accents. What a great combo!!
So be sure to check out all of these lovelies plus the other polishes that are in the shop. Be sure to let her know you saw the review on my page and don't forget the code at the top for a discount!!!
