NYC New York Color Expert Last Lip Color Lipstick Collection
I saw this collection come through my little Press Release email round up and I was so excited. The colors are just awesome! They vary from a frosty beige to a bright red! They are perfect for any summer occasion.
The perfect balance: a mix of matte and satin! These satin matte shades are perfectly wearable, from day to night, from casual to glam, this lipstick will complete your look. The long lasting, amplified color wears up to 6 hours with a velvety and glamorous finish. The formula doesn't feather or bleed.
The name is a perfect description of this color. It is almost the same color of my skin is close to MY perfect "nude". This would not be a color that I would wear often unless that washed out look comes back.
This is one of my favorite colors. It is a creamy, pinky, beautiful color. I just love the way it looks on me. This color also is the closest to the matte velvet description. PERFECTION!
Simply just that. Coral, as the name says. This color presents a little more on the pink side for me but it still has strong coral undertones. This is a really fun summer color and can be worn to spice up any occasion. This is one of the glossier colors out of the bunch but a little brush of powder will take that shine right out.
This is my other favorite color because, well, who doesn't love this purply-pink color. It is so vibrant and so smooth. This one is also the perfect combination of the matte velvet combination. I just love this color for this summer and I have been rocking it a lot!
What I Liked: The formula on these are pretty great! For $1.99 I would absolutely buy more of these. They went on really smoothly and they did not bleed or feather. I got about 4 hours of use and that is probably because I drink like I am dehydrated all day long. I would say that my favorite colors are Creamy Mauve and Velvety Fuchsia. For the price and the way that these performed, they are definitely a MUST buy!
What I Didn't Like: So, I didn't have any complaints about these. For $1.99, I can't really complain! The only really issue is that they are called matte colors and I didn't really have a matte finish on any of them. Yes, the descriptions mention a "mix of matte and satin" and that is more like the finish but no matte. So, if you are expecting that kind of finish, this is not it. You can add a little eye shadow, loose face powder or even blot your lips with a tissue to get more of a matte look if that's what you are looking for. BUT I actually liked this matte/satin finish. It was super creamy and super moisturizing!
What do you think of these? Have you tried any of them yet? Which ones are you favorite?
