My Actual Halloween Nails!!

Image
**Press Samples** Yes, there is a difference in my actual Halloween nails vs. what I had earlier on my blog. I love to experiment with Holiday manis, but I don't always get the chance to post about them.  Yes, there is a difference in my actual Halloween nails vs. what I had earlier on my blog. I love to experiment with Holiday manis, but I don't always get the chance to post about them. This time, I got to post a couple quick skittles but nothing too fancy. I actually wore these today, so this is a real time post! I am wearing all Sally Hansen and they are super glam! I used two different glitters, a chrome and two cremes. I posted a design a couple nights ago using the gel equivalents to these colors and they are both such spot on matches for Halloween colors!  I have a quick little live preview of the mani on SnapChat, as promised. So, don't forget to head over to Szizzy12184 to peep that. I am kind of disappointed in my chrome drip on my pinky because i

Halloween Nails from Sally Hansen

Image
**Press Samples**  Ohhh I just love Sally Hansen Halloween colors. They are like the perfect black and perfect Halloween orange. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is perfect for your Halloween party polish. It will last longer and shine brighter.   For this little skittle design, I did a creepy pumpkin stamp, a little pumpkin blood drip and some fun dots. I wanted to do something fun but still creepy! It is Halloween after all! I was also doing this midweek and wanted it to stay throughout the weekend. Perfect pick!  I have used Blacky-O before and I love it! It's my favorite black gel polish. It stays deep and dark and dries super shiny. It stayed put through bagging leaves, grocery shopping, pumpkin paining and baking. Whew, I was busy BUT at least my nails looked cute! What do you think of this fun and creepy Halloween skittle? Did you do something fun for your nails or makeup for this Halloween? Show me at @colormesocrazy on pretty much every social channel. Stay tune

October Ipsy Glam Bag

Image
**Affiliate Links** This month's Ipsy Glam Bag has a theme of Black Magic. I actually got a lot of nice products in this bag. Plus, the bag itself is super cute. It's perfect for my daughters Halloween makeup.  First up, I have the NYX Vivid Brights in Vivid Gunmetal. This is definitely water resistant and very bright. I swatched it on my arm and it stayed in place for well over 24 hours. If you are looking for long-stay silver makeup, this should be in your shopping basket! The brush is super skinny and helps you apply in thin and thick lines. This is a metallic so you have to make sure, if you are trying to build color, that you use thin coats. If you use thick coats, it will end up streaky. Apply with care! Gimmie Good Face Primer from Trust Fund Beauty is another great product I wouldn't mind getting every month! Like many primers, they tout to blur lines, diminish the appearance of wrinkles and leave your face feeling flawless. This also scented with

Cute Halloween Skittle Design for Your Nails!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Halloween is my favorite holiday to do skittles. I did these a while back when I still had nubbins and when I was really into dotting anything! I've had this PhillyLovesLacquer of quite a while and I only pull it out once a year. It still applies very nicely and the glitters still come out evenly. I appreciate that in a nail polish thats a few years old. Good job PLL! I haven't done an interlocking design in quite a while so I decided to add that in. I have a couple more Halloween designs I want to throw out there before it gets too late. Sometime this week, my daughter and I are going ghoul for her favorite holiday. The only reason it's her favorite is because her birthday is the next day.  I hope you enjoyed this quick little skittle and stay tuned for more holiday themed nail art. Plus there's always something good going on over here. Fun, fun FUN! Colors Used: Sally Hansen- Blacky O Sally Hansen- Electra-cute P

Pinktober Nails for The Survivors

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** Ok, I know I am getting these in at the tail end of the month, but better late than never! As some of you may of may not know, I had a breast tumor removed about 6 years ago. I was 8 months pregnant when I had my lumpectomy. It was a very rare tumor that, thankfully, was able to be removed fully. It was found when I was three months pregnant, but couldn't be removed until I was in my third trimester. That was one of the scariest times in my life.   For this mani, I went full on Sinful Colors. I used RADiant as my base then Pink Break and 24/7 as the accent dots. I wanted to do something fun, simple and I would be able to wear all week. RADiant is a demi-matte and I just love that creamy muted look.  I miss doing my nails with fun designs, but I am super excited for the upcoming holidays and I can't wait to dive into the fun art to follow! Next... a little bit of fall and Halloween! Colors Used: Sinful Colors- Pink Break Sinful Co

My First Empties Post- See Which I Would Repurchase!

Image
**May Contain Press Samples** So, I always say that I want to do an empties post, but either myself or my wonderful husband would pitch my empties bag on garbage day forgetting about my little post plan. This time, I managed to do it! I collected all of the items that I used up completely in the month of September. Now, with that being said, I didn't start using these at the beginning of the month but I have been using them for a while and just happened to finish them this month.  First up, the NYX Set It & Don't Fret It finishing powder. I loooooved this and I am going to rebuy during my next Ulta or Target trip. I did seem to finish this really quickly, but I do use a decent amount to soak up all that shine.  I went through 2 eyeliners. The benefit They're Real push up liner I got a looooong time ago. I only used it once and a while because, honestly, I hated it. It just didn't fit right for me and I had the formula. The Starlooks Pro Luxe Longwea

Looking to Lighten Up Those Dark Spots on Your Face??

Image
**Press Sample** You all know I am a huge fan of Valentia , so when I get a chance to try any of their new products I am all over it! This time, I got to try Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer. I was extra excited about this one because I have quite a few dark spots from scars that I have been trying to lighten up.  This is a moisturizer so you will get plumper, smoother and more radiant skin.  Some key ingredients include botanical hyaluronic acid, Kojic acid, Ginseng, Safflower oil and shea butter. All of these work together to improve elastic, prevent dark spots, fight wrinkles, and repair skins moisture barrier. Made with all natural ingredients, Pure Glow by Valentia makes for a very lightweight moisturizer.  Overall, I liked this and will continue to use it as my regular moisturizer. I have seen an improvement in my skins color as well as it's overall texture. I really believe that using a daily moisturizer, especially one with hyaluronic acid, can really impr

My Everyday Fall Look with a Little Shimmer

Image
**May Contain Press Samples**  For most of my looks during the fall, I tend to stay with brown, greens, oranges, and nudes. Neutral is the key for me during the fall. I have been turned off by shimmers in the past, but this year I am totally loving them. Combing shimmers with mattes is my favorite play on textures.   For this look, I used my Jelly Pong Neapolitan eye trio that I got in a recent Ipsy bag. There are three shimmer colors that work so perfectly for an everyday fall look. There is a shimmer nude, shimmer red and a shimmer brown. Put together, they make a sexy, fun smokey eye.   For my pinky neutral lip, I used Estee Edit Light Beige Nude and Madam Glam Posey. They blend to make a fun, yet neutral shade. I usually line with Ofra in the shade Wine, but for some reason I skipped it.  I did a little blush with Borghese in the shade stunner. I like to use just the tiniest amount for a regular day and blend it from my apples back to my temple. Just for a little

Zoya Mallory vs Zoya Sia vs Essie Butler Please vs Wet n'Wild Saved by the Blue

Image
**Contains Press Samples** When I got the new winter set from Zoya, I noticed a beautify vibrant blue that I know I have seen before. I really do love this shade for all seasons and I was curious as to if any of my other beautiful vibrant blues came close to it. While searching through my stash, I stumbled upon 3 similar colors to Mallory I had gotten in my winter collection. All are a similar shade, but slightly different. First up is the original color that prompted my little comparison review. Mallory is a bright, vibrant blue. Zoya always has wonderful application and I thank that brush of theirs. Perfect width and length. Sia is from the 2015 Fall collection- Focus. It is described as a vibrant, royal blue. It is extremely similar to Mallory. Maybe a tad bit lighter, but very similar. They are both a velvety smooth, bright blue.  Butler Please was my go-to color for a long while. It is a bright, creamy blue. It is a little bit lighter than our previous examples fr
