NYC New York Color Midnight Beauty 2014 Collection

Today, I have some pieces from the NYC New York Color 2014 Limited Edition Midnight Beauty Collection. I have make up, I have lipstick, AND I have nail polish.All of these are perfect Halloween colors if you need to add any more to your collection. and if you get a chance to pick any of these up, they are all reasonably priced. I have seen the eye shadow, the lipstick and the nail polishes in previous collections, so if you missed them this time they may come back around again. 

Animal Instinct

I love most of my NYC New York Color polishes that I own, but this one I must say I am slightly disappointed in. I had to apply 3 coats just to get over the streaky-ness of it. I looooove the color so much and I wanted it to work so bad, but it was just really difficult to work with. I am hoping that they can reformulate this polish and make it work, because the orange shimmer is just awesome and I am totally not an orange person.

I'm Not AffRED

This is a sexy vampy deep red color that leans very closely to a jelly. I used about 2 coats with this one and 3 in some areas just to get full coverage since it is a jellyish polish. The application of this was much better than the previous one. For $1.99, it is a great addition to any vampy lovers collection.

Limited Edition Individual Eyes Eye Shadow Palette in Hate the Light

This eye shadow palette features a step by step guide the to perfect smokey eye including a primer and a highlighter (illuminator). Each of these did create a lot of fallout, but blended well with a good brush. This palette does come with a brush, but I recommend using your own set of brushes. A good blending brush is a must especially with a smokey eye look. You can get this at most local drug stores for only $4.99.

Expert Last Lip Color in Red or Alive

This is an orange red color. I used 2 coats on my lips for this color. I am always surprised in NYC New York Colors Lipsticks. For only $1.99, this was a great application, a great finish, and lasted quite a long time.

 This lipstick had a semi-gloss finish. I have been really digging matte lipsticks lately and shying away from ultra glossy ones. I am happy this this one was not drying, but at the same time was not ultra sloppy when applying.
