Tri Polish Challenge and Ikat Walkthrough

For this challenge I decided to attempt the coveted ikat design. Just and FYI side note- ikat is pronounced "e-cat". I read a couple tutorials on how to do this and I thought it seemed easy enough, so that's where it started. I came across this article in Glamour about Oscar de la Renta inspired nails. I thought it was super simple and even I could handle it! I also wanted to show you guys how I did it! You can use as many polishes as you want, but I think the more you use, the more difficult it is to dry and the longer it takes. I only used three colors for four layers. I let each layer dry about 10-15 minutes before I applied the next one. Below is a step by step picture guide of what I did! Be sure to show me your ikat attempts! Enjoy!

I Went Naked...With My Nails!

**Press Samples** Yup, I did it. I cut down all of my nails and started over a couple of months ago. I wanted to get some ridges filled and stop some cracking I had with this lovely winter weather. Zoya has a fantastic little line called NAKED MANICURE.  It consists of a base coat, perfector in a couple different shades and then a top coat. The perfector users diffusers, keratin, and reflective color pigments to create an illusion all while ensuring healing of your natural nail to help conceal imperfections.  I've been using this set for about 2 months now and I have been able to grow my nails back out all while keeping them strong and healthy. I will continue to use this system in between manicures just to help continue that strengthening process and for a little refresher.

Zoya Pinks! Comparison Post

**Press Samples** I guess I have been in the testing mood. This time, pinks. Not just any old pinks, but Zoya pinks! With the release of Wanderlust, I got thinking about all the different pinks Zoya had and could they really all be different? I grabbed all the similar looking pinks and went to swatch town. I used 8 different pinks from my vast Zoya collection. I even snuck in a matte!  As  you can see, while some of them are seriously similar. I think Byrdie and Nana are most similar. I loooove all of these pinks and this little comparison experiment, made me literally want to wear one each week! Maybe a little girly pick me up?!?! What do you think of these pinks?
